Forgive me if this has been discussed already. Haven't seen a thread on it.
Congressmen are having a workshop today, presented by the Congressional Management Foundation on how to increase their approval ratings by as much as 18 percent without actually doing anything meaningful.
The National Science Foundation gave a grant (of your tax money) to the Congressional Management Foundation to conduct the study to solve that perplexing, yet annoying, problem of plunging approval ratings for sitting congressmen who are getting worried about keeping their jobs.
They found that congressmen who held on line "town hall" meetings that are controlled and scripted enjoyed as much as an 18 percent lead in approval ratings as those who don't.
They'll have a presentation of the findings to Congressmen and their aides this afternoon. Along with a "how to" session on presenting the dog and pony shows.
You, the members of the press, and any other taxpayers are not invited to the presentation. You are, however, invited to watch the propaganda on line, in the near future.
How much more of this are we going to take?
This election, vote for anyone but the incumbent.
