PARIS – Now that's one big foot. Paleontologists in eastern France have reported the discovery of some of the largest dinosaur footprints ever documented, measuring about 1.4 meters to 1.5 meters (4.6 feet to 4.9 feet) in diameter.

How do they know that's a footprint? It just looks like a patch of land that is indented. I would like to see a close up in a different angle.

Here: Footprints from sauropod dinosaurs, giant herbivores with long necks, were found in Plagne, near Lyon, France. Discovered by Marie-Hélène Marcaud and Patrice Landry, two nature enthusiasts, the dinosaur footprints have been authenticated by Jean-Michel Mazin and Pierre Hantzpergue…

They have been certified as genuine, and at the site there are additional pictures, even with my bad eyes I can detect the stride in the one picture.

I read about this the other day.

I would have thought they would get some covering in place to protect them?

I got to see the footprints in the Dinosaur Valley down at Glenn Rose Texas, cool stuff.

Seeing double? Of those three photos I don't see more than one print in any of them. Do you have another link or something? :eh:
