View Full Version : Obama-Halloween vs Normal Halloween

I think it was Rush that talked about this last week and I have heard others bring it up before....
When kids come by your home trick or treating this year you open your front door and ask them to choose between Obama-Halloween or Normal Halloween.
Obama-Halloween
You tell the kids they have too much candy. Then rather than giving them more candy you will be taking some candy from each of them and give the candy to poor kids in another city. Be sure to generally make them feel guilty for having any candy at all and for having nice costumes.
Normal Halloween
You give each kid some more yummy candy, wish them a Happy Halloween and comment on how nice their costumes are.
I may try this.........
Naa, I am too much of a nice guy.
But it would be interesting if I knew the kids parents had voted for BHO and are in favor of higher taxes, wealth redistribution and UHC etc. etc. to see their reaction.
Maybe YouTube will have some clips this time next week on this subject.

Rush has certainly had some dumb ideas, and this is right up there. Dragging kids into politics is stupid.

It was a rhetorical commentary on Obama's socialist behavior. :wall:

i just assumed conservatives didn't give out candy, and just yelled at the kids that halloween is for the devil and scream at them to get jobs if they want some candy and quit coming for free handouts

The issue I see here is that if it was truly an "Obama" halloween, the kids wouldn't even have to go out trick or treating. There would be a special tax to pay for Halloween candy for the youngsters. The youngsters would then receive something like a debit card to take to their local store to buy the candy.

That you assumed that doesn't surprise me at all.
But then I would assume liberals don't hand out candy, they tell the kids to get it from Obama.

Liberals voted in what they thought would be a 'treat' last year - only to realize it was actually a 'trick.'

Yes, I think you should all do this and give your opponents something to beat on you until at least Thanksgiving.

I want to add to the role.

The perfect Obama Halloween treat would start with an O and look like an O and have an attractive exterior but be filled with nothing but fluff ... and not be too good for you.

When you answer the door ask, "Y'all are HOPING for a treat, right?"
Then drop a few pennies in their bag and say, "Well here's some CHANGE to go with that."

So why are children in schools being forced
to sing praise songs to Obama then?
Stupid?
You bet.

Other than attacking the analogy using kids and being mentioned by Rush, leftists seem to be ok with Obama-Halloween?
Ok lets...
TIMEWARP forward 20 years........
The 10 year old kids at your door trick or treating are now age 30... quit diverting leftists, would you impose Obama-Halloween on them now?

While it might amuse some people to be mean to children on halloween, it's not really proper to do it to small children below the age of cognition.
Now, taking this same scenario to high schoolers and depriving them of say....a prom or field trip they did hundreds of car washes to pay for might have more of an impact than picking on young children who do not comprehend why.

My predictable mantra in issues like this: LEAVE THE KIDS ALONE!

Conservatives are the ones who give out king sized candy bars because they are more likely to donate to charity. Liberals are the ones who give out small fun sized lame candy like one tootsie roll, or nothing at all, because they expect other people to pick up the slack for them.

I only get about three kids a year, we live in a cul de sac that's uphill and only has three houses, too bad for the ones too lazy to come up because I give out full size candy bars to the ones that have the amazing fortitude to actually climb a little tiny hill.

I'll tell you what I do. We get usually 600-700 kids per year at our house and we get a load of teenagers 15+; many of whom put little or no erffort into their costume and I am expected to provide them free candy for little effort. Just like government programs.
So...if they are over 15 years of age, I ask them History, Government, and Science questions. They only have to answer one correctly. You would be surprised how many kids don't know simple questions like :name the three branches of gov't, who is the VP, how many US Senators are there, etc.
I have kids who remember us from year to year and actually come prepared. I have others that hear me ask questions and get out of line b/c they either don't know or are too lazy to go through the effort.

That's interesting, but I think I would get depressed because of the number of kids who couldn't answer any of those questions. Do you have a rough estimate on how many 'fail' your little test?

Protocol for Halloween is handled by the trick or treat czar.Obama will announce his decisions on this important issue as soon as the polls tell him which way to go.Should be somewhere around the end of the year.:))
