Sure, we all know people are loosing jobs. However, when you compare the number of jobs the White House projected with jobs lost, it is quite stagering. When is accountability coming?

Are there even 1,800 people in North Dakota? To be sure, North Dakota does have a substantial enough population to render even 1,800 jobs a somewhat low job growth rate.
The stimulus bill hasn't done anything positive in any of the 50 states.

I think it was just rammed through so down the road they have an excuse to spend more trillions to "fix" things. Down the road they'll be saying : "Remember in 2009 when Barack Obama fixed/saved the economy? we need to spend x-amount of money to save this country!". Just like they do with FDR.
C'mon... The guy was wrong on unemployment so he falls back and says it saved the country from a depression. It's obvious what's going on.

It's time again for the administration to put out a statement saying that, without the stimulus, there would be 437,264 additional people out of work. So the stimulus is working.

Thank God I have a job! With unemployment on the rise and unemployment benefits running out just who will pick-up that tab? The taxpayers are already being bled dry.

My hubby has been out of work since May. He is 50, and has been faithfully looking for work. Even hitting up jobs outside his area of expertise. So far, he was only offered two jobs that earned $8.50/hr. We probably will be moving in the spring before unemployment runs out.

It wasn't intended to actually create jobs! It was written by the Apollo Alliance to help "change" America by slowly bankrupting it. Social Justice and "Green" jobs.

Well lookie here. Isn't that nice.
WASHINGTON — A top White House economist says spending from the $787 billion economic stimulus has already had its biggest impact on economic growth and will likely not contribute to significant expansion next year.
http://www.google.com/hostednews/ap/article/ALeqM5i-95E_TCyqYX0CBZ5xQAV_V3VWyQD9BG76902
Christina Romer, the chair of President Barack Obama's Council of Economic Advisers, said Thursday that the $194 billion already spent gave a jolt to the economy that contributed to growth in the second and third quarters of the year. She told a congressional panel that by the middle of next year, the impact of the stimulus will level off. Romer said spending so far has saved or created 600,000 to 1.5 million jobs but warned that unemployment will remain high, above 9.5 percent, through the end of 2010.
WOW!!! Thanks for all that growth guberment.

The stimulus was a payoff by Democrats to their big money benefactors. It was not to create jobs. They lied to you and you bought it hook, line and sinker.
Their next lie will be that if you vote for them, they will get you off of unemployment.

Is there no one in this administration who's not a damned liar.
We've lost millions of jobs lady....Your stupid stimulus hasn't saved or created squat.

Is this another example of what Obama calls transparency?
Stimulus jobs overstated by thousands
WASHINGTON (AP) - An early progress report on President Barack Obama's economic recovery plan overstates by thousands the number of jobs created or saved through the stimulus program, a mistake that White House officials promise will be corrected in future reports.
The government's first accounting of jobs tied to the $787 billion stimulus program claimed more than 30,000 positions paid for with recovery money. But that figure is overstated by least 5,000 jobs, according to an Associated Press review of a sample of stimulus contracts.
The AP review found some counts were more than 10 times as high as the actual number of jobs; some jobs credited to the stimulus program were counted two and sometimes more than four times; and other jobs were credited to stimulus spending when none was produced.
For example:
- A company working with the Federal Communications Commission reported that stimulus money paid for 4,231 jobs, when about 1,000 were produced.
- A Georgia community college reported creating 280 jobs with recovery money, but none was created from stimulus spending.
- A Florida child care center said its stimulus money saved 129 jobs but used the money on raises for existing employees.

North Dakota didn't even need any stimuli. Our economy has been just fine and still is. Obama (or Bush's spending) had nothing to do with it. We have the country's best governor. We love the guy. Very business-friendly.
There's a firm in the town that I live in that is trying to find temp help at 18 bucks an hour. No one's applying.
I can't get anyone to apply for my part-time openings, either. The economic stats in my home county haven't been in the negative since 1992.
As far as I know, the 1800 jobs created would have been created anyway.

What a shocker, it was a red state that was the one state that had job growth.
