Seems that Obama and our progressive Democrat Party Leadership are intentionally avoiding any meaningful discussion of free market solutions to the high cost of health insurance, and they continue to advocate a federal government health insurance option, allegedly to introduce “competition” into the purchase of health insurance. In fact, “competition” is the key to lowering the cost of health insurance, but it does not work when government is one of the competitors and political pressures are free to influence what ought to be business decisions, and that such influences lead to the force of government being used to impose special interest politically motivated ideas.
Freedom loving people are well aware that Obama and his progressive disciples on Capitol Hill are more intent on creating a new captive and dependent voting block then introducing competition into the purchase of health insurance, and this has given rise to their federal government insurance option. If a federal government option is legislated into law, you can bet your bottom dollar it will be used to buy votes during every election cycle with the promise of extending new and improved federal health insurance “benefits”, just as was the strategy behind the progressive Social Security idea, which has been used for over half a century by progressives to buy votes from a captive and dependant voting block.
The unfortunate truth is, Social Security has created a massive voting block dependent upon a monthly federal government check, and has allowed our beloved progressives to promise at every election to increase that monthly check and benefits so long as they are in an office of public trust which controls the federal trough’s spigot, allowing them to redistribute what labor and business has earned.
Aside from the dishonorable nature of bribery, our progressive’s practice of bribery has inspired a devastating consequence. When the public trough runs dry, such as happened with the Social Security Trust Fund, our progressive friends have figured a way to continue their bribery by refilling the trough with IOUs which will enslave future generations, making our children and grand children indentured wage earners, obligated to make good on today’s election time bribery engaged in by progressives.
In another forum I have been chided for thinking “conspiracy”. But I can assure you, there is no conspiracy___ no secret handshakes among Obama, David Axelrod, Rahm Emanuel and the rest of his progressive renegades, no special decoder rings or pledges of silence written in blood. They do their evil in the open, praying on the weak and needy, promising to give a helping hand, but only if Obama and his pals are given access to the federal government’s spigot. and in this case, with reference to health insurance, the spigot is a federal government health insurance option. Were we not warned in Federalist No 79: A POWER OVER A MAN's SUBSISTENCE AMOUNTS TO A POWER OVER HIS WILL ?
But getting back to the necessity of introducing competition into the purchase of health insurance, that competition is found in S.1324: The Health Care Freedom Act of 2009 (http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/z?c111:S.1324:..) a proposal which would tear down the barriers between the states in the purchase of health insurance and would allow people living in one state to buy health insurance from a company licensed in another state.
Keep in mind each state now has various “regulatory mandates” requiring health insurance providers to offer unique benefits such as, acupuncture, in vitro fertilization, massage therapy, treatments for obesity and hair loss, etc, etc,. Hundreds and hundreds of specific health insurance mandates have found their way into the regulatory legislation of the various states and the cost of these mandates have increased the premiums of health insurance dramatically, especially for those who simply want basic coverage. In some of the progressive states, the added mandated benefits have put health insurance beyond the reach of a significant part of their population! And, a lot of the benefits have been added as state mandates, not because a majority of the state’s population wants them, but because of special interest groups including the industries which provide such benefits who find it very profitable to fund the political campaign war chests of powerful politicians.
In fact, health insurance would be affordable to many more citizens now living in progressive states if they could purchase their insurance from companies in other states which have not caved into special interest lobbying. But progressives, being progressives and knowing what is best for the people, will do everything possible to prevent their captive citizens from escaping and purchasing their health insurance from out of state competitors because they need these people to fund the extravagant and special interest health insurance mandates they have written into law because of bribery, and they fear free market solutions which exposes their evil for what it is ___ refusing to allow people to exercise an inalienable right of mankind to be left free to mutually agree in contracts and associations. To let these people go would destroy instate health insurance monopolies and the political advantages progressives draw from these state monopolies. And now we are told that the answer to the high cost of health insurance is to be found in a nationwide federal “government option”?

If we can make 51 percent of America’s population dependent upon the federal government for its subsistence, (Obamacare) we can then bribe them for their vote, keep ourselves in power and keep the remaining portion of America’s productive population enslaved to pay the bills ____ Our Washington Establishment’s Marxist game plan, a plan to establish a federal plantation and redistribute the bread which labor and business has earned.
