I don't understand what "obamanomics" is supposed to mean but I think it's pretty clear that higher jobless rates will be the new norm thanks in large part due to American spending habits for the past 30 years. We happily shipped our jobs overseas and encouraged technological improvements which gutted our manufacturing base. Now our Big Box Marts are filled with cheaply made junk from China and we are scratching our heads at why people can't find decent jobs.

This has absolutely NOTHING to do with "Obamanomics."

Let's not say "NOTHING". I'll agree that the foundation and frame of the house were already built -- by a global economy and decades of USA economic policy and consumer habits.

Obama's policies are just picking out the wallpaper and carpeting now.

I have neighbors working farm jobs harvesting crops now...

You know, the jobs only illegals from Guatemala will do.

Are they getting paid substandard wages? Just wondering what the farms would pay a person of legal standing. I'm assuming that your neighbors are legal citizens or legal aliens.

Slightly better than minimum wage. Your ability to infer that I meant legal citizens is impressive.

If you can't achieve, lower the bar.

;)

Where are all those green jobs?

I wish Obama would remove himself from the picture. The sumbitch has done more damage to this country in 9 months than anyone could have imagined possible. He's either dangerous or stupid as hell-probably both.

Evidently, you do not understand the Law of Comparative Advantage as revealed by your uniformed shipping-menial-jobs-oversees diatribe.

Right. A different administration would just be picking out different carpets and curtains.

The house (of cards) would still be the same.
