However, I'm getting real tired of my fellow Americans dying over there each day, so that we can be there to try & rebuild their nations. More recently the enemy has been posing as citizens of afghanistan & killing our troops.

Now, any Military man knows that what's happening in Iraq & Afghanistan is that, we're taking hits just so we can be very sure that we're approaching the true enemies. Plus, our guys die every day to ensure that we have very little "collateral damage". I'm getting pretty tired of that guys. We could end both of those (so called) wars in a week.

We could, but the issue then becomes that terrorists' propaganda is proven accurate. The "enemy" isn't clearly define. Not everyone taking shots at NATO soldiers is Taliban.

How would we end the war in a week?

How would we end the war in a week?

Easy. Declare victory, pack up and leave. Just like in Vietnam.

And I'm tired of all those folks who equate rebuilding (or reconstruction rather) with the notion of nation building. Reconstruction is a necessary element after you defeat a country in war. Without doing it, you risk having to send your troops back. Case in point, WWI, which led to WWII because we left Germany to fend for themselves and they kept getting kicked around.

Minimizing collateral damage is also necessary in this case because it simply isn't necessary to go after and kill a population which you are tyring to make friends with. One which also does not want to be run by another Saddam Hussien or some terrorist faction.
