Yes,but Gandhi didn't have Hollywood and the mainstream media pulling for him. I have to get off this computer, I am building a shrine to Obama in the backyard, I want to to get it done by Obamamas, our new holiest holiday in the US. It will replace both Christmas and Festivus.

dont you EVER dispute me like that in public again !! ;)
he won ... for the Departed right?..
well the point is that he should have gotten it for Goodfellas !
Obama wins a Nobel Peace prize and Goodfellas does not get Scorcese an academy award
that is the point !, wait what?

I don't know why he would. The Nobel peace prize is for promoting international peace, not for independence of British colonial rule.

Well, I think the whole nonviolent resistance thing should count towards something. Independence movements tend not to be as peaceful.

He was supposed to win in '48, but they're not allowed to award it posthumously and he died before they were to vote.

What other nominations were received for this year's Joke Prize (aka Nobel Peace Prize)? Or was Obama a lone candidate for this "prestigious honor" (gotta go...taste of vomit in my mouth - YUK!)

See what the Nobel Peace Prize has become? Just a prize, like one would get out of a box of Cracker Jacks. All things that were once pretigious are being reclassified as "its just a ... " by the libs.

The last time I heard "Its just a ..." I almost smacked the guy who said it.

We were in Washington DC, at the Vietnam War Memorial, and I was staring at the name of a friend who had given all to this country. A kid about 6 years old asked his father "Dad, what is this?" The Dad replied: "Its just a wall with a bunch of names on it."

It was everything I could do to keep myself from adding his name to the concrete that we were standing on.

Calm down, he's just a president, everything will be fine, I promise.
