I never thought that a place like hollywood could be ground zero for everything evil. Don't misunderstand me, hollywood may not have more evil doers than other places in our country, but because they command more of the spot light, they stand out more. On a week when the ACLU is in court to remove a cross from the Mohave Desert, it struck me to comment.

Within less than a months time, the news which refuses to report or ask hard questions of Obama, has no such hesitancy when it comes to reports to Godlessness or victorys over religion. In this month I have seen reports of child rape, incest, sodomy, babys attacked by rats, polygamous suing for rights, man-boy love pediphile group looking for rights, Obama zsar promoting homosexuality, men holding women captive and raping them for years, and hollywood supporting a child rapist, Roman Polansky.

Was it like this when I was a child, I don't remember it being this bad. What are we doing when it comes to moving God out of our lives, our schools, and our buildings? How can any normal person look at someone like Jesus Christ, and consider him more of a insult, than a baby being eaten by rats in his crib. I just don't get it. We have people in hollywood, so called stars, like Danny Glover or Sean Penn, openly supporting communist or socialist dictators like Chavez and Castro, or wearing t-shirts with murdering revolutionaries like Che Guevara, on it. Now we have open support from well know Directors and actors signing their names to condone the act of sodomy on a 13 year old girl. Roman Polanski gave drugs to a 13 year old girl, raped her and sodomized her, pled guilty in court, skipped on bail to France. He now has the total support from his far left, pro-rape friends in hollywood. Woopi Goldberg said on the View, "well it wasn't really rape rape". Im guessing Woopi is referring to the fact that Polanski rape the girl, then found out she was not on the pill, and then sodomized her.

Are these the people we look up to? Are these people our role models? I mean really, when you look at someone like Alex Baldwin, and listen to him call his own daughter a little pig, is that the father you look up to? Is that the father you want to be? What about Jamie Fox saying he wants to rape Miley Cyrus, is that cool to be like Jamie Fox? Folks we need to take a hard look at where we are at in our lives and decide who is worth following and looking up to. I choose Jesus Christ as my role model.

They are only role models if you elect to use them as such. Most of the celebrities and entertainment people, including sports personalities, never said "Look at me as your role model".

Some people elect to raise some to role model status and some entertainers even live a lifestyle that may be worthy of being role models but it still comes down to parenting and the values our family and friends instill in us.

Is there more abhorrent behavior today then 50 years ago? It appears there is but how much of that is the result of instantaneous communication we did not have then. Murder, rape, drug abuse, anti-social behavior etc have always been with us and always will. Glorification of that may not be more prevalent as much as the frequency we see it due to our technologies and societal desire to know everything about celebrities.

Remember the Rat Pack? Wine, Women and Song? That turned into Sex, Drugs and Rock-N-Roll. Our society has definitely changed over the last century but the basic values that we hold have not in the majority of the country.

I'm an old cynic but I work with a lot of young people (18-25) and the majority I see are good decent people that are as skeptical in what they see from Hollywood and the media as my generation is. You are right though, the few that I see that glamorize those in the media seem lost to the realities of life.
