Rochelle Riley is an idiot...always has been.

Detroit has been run by black men for how long? How many black men have been mayor or served on the crooked city council? Are those the black guys she feels the black boys should look up to? Sorry Rochelle...the city is in dire need of some kind of action and the people have been burned so badly by corruption..maybe you, Rochelle, should be happy that there are people willing to try and save the city at all instead of griping about no black male presence...because the black men who have had the power in recent history have decided to take a **** on the city rather than trying to save it.

Racism will always exist, I don't think its realistic to expect to eliminate it entirely. Racism is simply a reflection of society's stereotypes. Stereotypes often have a kernal of truth to them, and racism is often a reflection of that. The trick is to manage it so it doesn't get out of hand. When you start off in life, you often get judged by your own kind. If you are white and American, you often suffer from a different sort of racial prejudice, this sort of racism is a reflection of jealousy of our success in the world, and people are often prejudist against us and try to bring us down. You don't think Vladamir Putin isn't some sort of bigot who hates Americans, he goes out of his way to harm them by selling nuclear secrets to Iran in hopes Iran will get in a nuclear war with us due to their fanatacism. The Russians will just stand back and say, "not our fault," if they do. The Russians have not been helpful in the fight against terrorism, because they realize that alot of it is aimed at Americans. Why do so few help us out in Afghanistan and Iraq? Because they are racist and bigots!

One sort of racism is rooted in Jealousy, that is the heart of AntiAmericanism, the other sort of Racism is rooted in fear, the Jew who doesn't wander into Arab neighborhoods is often rooted in fear of what would happen to him if he dared go there. Likewise some whites are afraid to venture into black neighborhoods for fear that they will be robbed or mugged, there is prejudice everywhere. Sometimes it is best simply to seperate the two groups from each other rather than tell them it is safe to walk in that neighborhood, or that their fears are irrational when they aren't.
