This so called "dog" (I think it might be half horse) drinks from the kitchen faucet with all four feet on the floor............

Oct 7, 3:40 PM (ET)

CASSELTON, N.D. (AP) - Boomer may be a buster: Measuring 3 feet tall at the shoulders and 7 feet long from nose to destructive wagging tail, his owner thinks she may have the world's tallest living dog.
Caryn Weber says her 3-year-old Landseer Newfoundland keeps all four paws on the floor when he drinks from the kitchen faucet in her family's farm house in eastern North Dakota.
Boomer can stare into a car window eye to eye with a driver. A 20-pound bag of dry dog food lasts a couple of weeks.
Weber says the fluffy black and white dog "comes into the house and his tail is so high everything gets knocked around."
Weber plans to send Boomer's measurements to Guinness World Records. The previous record holder was a nearly 4-foot-tall Great Dane that died this summer.

Yes... I was going to say. That is easily remedied by a request to the Mods in the TTTM forum.

That dog sure doesn't eat much for is size! My 2 dogs go thru a 50# bag a week, plus table scraps. If they are still hungry after that they'll just go kill something.

That is still a big freakin dog!

She probably supplements with roasts, chops, whole chickens, small children . . . man, I would not want pooper scooper duty with Boomer.

I don't this that Newfoundlander is going to make the record...

180 lbs is a large Newfoundland dog. But far from the largest. 160lb - 180lbs is pretty common for a male newfie. The largest one on record was about 250 lbs.

I have what I call a 'miniature newfie'. He's half lab and half newfie. He's only 100 lbs. so he's very small for a newfie. He looks like a full bred newfie... just small.

Here is England's largest dog ... here are his stats BEFORE he was full grown.....

Standing 6ft 5in (1.956 meters) on its hind legs and tipping the scales at 19st 10lb (276 lbs. = 125.19 kg.), Samson is a giant in every sense of the word. ...

Here's his photo....

The "largest" dog is based on dimensions not weight (that would be the "heaviest" dog.) This dog is 42 inches at the front shoulder and 7'-1" from end to end. He is a puppy too... kind of scrawney actually given his size.

I am guessing they meant a couple of days as opposed to weeks.

A backhoe for a pooper scooper? A tarp in your pocket when you walk it to pick up after it?

How would you take this dog to the vet if you drive a little sardine ObamaEnviro Car?

You slap a saddle on his back and ride him there. ;)

LOL! Hopefully, the dog doesn't have a broken leg! Funny thing, I saw today, a Cooper (with a peace sign emblem in back right side). It was the smallest Cooper I have ever seen! It was about the size of a golf cart--no kidding! It may have been smaller, actually. You can't put anything in it...the trunk must be the size of an envelope. No backseat (is there?). I'm 5'2", always about 115 or under, and I couldn't fit in that thing. Who can? Stick people?
