Dear Moderators,

Falling asleep after watching the local news, I woke up (partially) to Letterman giving his top ten reasons for something--it had to do with monkeys.

And when he got to the second reason (about monkeys), he spoke about the Jews.

There was deafening silence in the audience, and I actually gasped.

It was highly offensive.

So? I wanted to post this...but I then realized, that it will cause me to possibly be banned, or could cause others to contribute to the thread in a way which might get them banned.

Reminds me of one of the rules for radicals tricks--that rule which causes people to hang by the rules they set up themselves.

I'm pretty upset about what Letterman said. And I am upset because I can't think of a way to voice my opinion without getting banned (and I don't want anyone else to).

So I posted here, and I also wanted to say, David Letterman sucks.

Thank you.

Brings to mind a discussion / comment many, many years ago at our family dinner table. I recall my father stating something like this......

"I don't care who it was that said it. Why do you think it has to be discussed in our home? There are those who are vulgar, crude, and uncouth. We cannot change that. But, we don't need to bring their filth into this house".

I know what you mean, Lee, really. I just wanted to voice my opinion of how wrong it was for him to say it...

I wanted to trash the messenger, but I couldn't do so without bringing in, yet again, another one of his vulgar insults.

At least I got to say a bit here, Lee. Thanks for letting me vent a bit.
