Obama can only handle perceived or manufactured crisis by his own imagination. Afghanistan is a reality that he has a hard time dealing with. Granted, Afghanistan is a tough decision to deal with for any modern president. Obama is foreign policy challenged if it weren't for Joe Biden. Obama is busy with the transformation of America in his image of change and hope.
Obama's basic schooling was to remake America that he thinks would be malleable with an ideology that veers away from capitalism. It's so easy for him to spend us into oblivion if we don't question his motives.

I thought Obama would give a presser on Afghanistan yesterday. The country is left in the dark, and there is a lot of unrest about it. Our troops need to know we have their backs, and instead we have a POTUS who is in constant campaign mode, and that is not lost on the troops. They see it.

As far as studying the stragegy - he's been saying that for weeks on end. He either has faith in the General he put in there or he doesn't. Petraeus agrees with McChrystal. I'd go with their advice over Biden's any day.

I hope Obama addresses this issue ASAP.
