Zombieland was awesome. It was absolutely hysterical. But other than the (greatest in the history of film) cameo there was nothing to guffaw at like the idiots at the theater with me were doing. Anything remotely close to humorous was greeted with enormous bellicose laughter. Maybe I don't have a sense of humor but I just ****ing hate it when people laugh like it'll be their last time. It almost felt like people were trying to one up the entire theater. It absolutely ruined the ****ing cameo. If you watch the movie, you'll understand why it should of been impossible to spoil the scene. Under normal circumstances, I would of had a grin from ear to ear but I couldn't even hear what was going on. The rest of audience reacted more less the same way on a smaller scale to the whole movie. Anything close to subtle was met with cricket chirps. There was an idiot to the side of me with what looked like a 6 or 7 year old kid who had to talk all the ****ing time. There was a scene where the characters found a Hostess truck. This ****ing moron had to point and yell out "OH LOOK SNOWBALLS!". No ****? The idiot in front of my wife had his cell phone in front of his face, text messaging. Unluckily for us, he apparently also had the attention span to laugh like a hyena, point at the screen, and clap constantly. That would of been lame enough this guy's massive obese head wasn't blocking the screen while he apparently had to make himself comfortable every five minutes. My wife and I got annoyed enough move to the first row to get as far away from the *******s as possible. Even though I now have a massive headache from having to focus at the screen, it was overall a net gain in the movie watching experience. I should of known what I was getting into as soon as the previews came on and I heard some dude talk about how awesome it was that the new Twilight movie is coming out soon.

It has gotten to the point that I don't even enjoy going to the theatres anymore because of asshats.
My only recommendation that sometimes helps is to go see these types of movies at the earliest matinee time as most of the idiots like to go at night.

MRshotshot is correct...a plus is most times it's cheaper too.
The last movie Resident Evil, had a woman who was constantly on her cell phone.
Dispite her having the volume low the ring still was very noticable and her conversations loud and very disruptive ruined the movie.
I leaned foreword very calmly asked her to please turn it off as the theater requested. She told me no it's important. When the usher came around I told him to please ask this woman to shut off her phone. So he did, she turned it off and the second the guy left she turned it right back on and it started again. I got up walked out and asked to see anouther showing of the movie because all I heard was a cell phone ringing and this woman talking. The usher said he toldher to turn it off and I told him she turned it right back on the second he left. So he went inside the theater and five or so minutes later out came the lady with her husband both very angry and that woman looked over at me and called me a few names. I yelled back: I came here to watch a movie not listen to you talk to your sister about the dog peeing on the carpet and how you had to cancel your trip because of a storm or how your cousin got busted for drunk driving.
They gave me a two tickets for the next show. I watched that showing in total peace.

Can't stand Woody Harrelson as much as I can't stand movie audiences (or most any crowd of people)
This passionate dislike for Woody is problematic because some of the trailers for the movie look really enjoyable...
I will not go to a theater that has the crammed packed seating where every move you make affects at least four other people.
Since we don't have any theaters, especially those of the Recliner seating variety, out here I will have to wait until release to DVD.

It looks like it will be good but I will wait for it to become a rental.
I havent been to a theater since Chevy Chase's movie "Modern Problems" because of the inconsiderate people like the OP described. I really miss the old drive-ins!!!!
To me they were far better than walk-ins!

A taser in the neck or an air horn in the ear (so some of whatever Dexter injects into his victims...) will take care of *******s like that.... They might throw you out of the theatre for doing it, but it will feel soooo good. ;)
... and the rest of the audience will probably cheer you. :D

Nah.
The people in the theater were making more noise than those people who go watch The Rocky Horror Picture Show.
I would've probably gotten mobbed.

It's getting so that you can't go out in public these days.
Civility is breathing it's last gasp.

If that is the case nobody would have noticed that you did it. ;)

I FINALLY saw Zombieland over the weekend, and it was funny. I enjoyed Woody Harrelson's performance as "Tallahassee." That character was crazy and hilarious. I also liked the performances of Emma Stone and Abigail Breslin as th two con women as well as Jesse Eisenberg with the character's rules of surviving Zombieland.
I also loved the cameo appearance in the film (is it safe to mention his name). That was hysterical.
And, by the way, I loved the zombies. :)
I can't wait for the sequel.
If you didn't see it, GO SEE IT!!!
I give it three stars out of four.
ENJOY!!!!
