I probably posted 30 times in a really good thread today. The thread ran well over 15 pages, but was deleted because it was created by a retread. Why?
It was a very interesting, civil thread, with good debate. How are we as posters supposed to know not to waste time in a thread, only to see it deleted, along with the debate? How are we supposed to know who is, and who is not, a retread?
Sorry, but it's very frustrating to have an afternoon's debate wasted simply because the "wrong" person started the thread in the first place.
OK, sorry, I'm done ranting. Couldn't a thread be evaluated for content before being summarily deleted like that? Especially such a long thread.

I was very disappointed to come home tonight and see that the discussion and my input was lost.

Was it part of a mass deletion? If you had to deal with retreads you would probably just use that option instead of going through all the threads and posts they may have made to evaluate whether they should be deleted.

Retreads are not allowed a voice here.
Curious though, how is it a debate wasted simply because the record is gone?
Debate results are generally subjective, and you know how you fared, right?

Typically, asking "can a thread by so and so be undeleted" works much better than ranting.

In my defense, I DID say, "I'm sorry" twice! If I had known that a thread could be "un-deleted" I would have sucked up much more politely... :D
