Sean, Kate Obershain and Brian Birdwell have been attacked as homophobes for exposing Safe Schools czar and GLSEN founder Kevin Jennings's support for Adult-minor, man boy sex. (GLSEN promotes tolerance of all sexual minorities and orientations in over 4000 primary to high schools across the nation.)
The homophobia card is to distract and intimidate people from exposing tolerance extremists for whom all sexual minorities, orientations, preferences are equal and oppressed no matter how perverse and deviant. Thus Roman Polanski and other sexual predators are misunderstood victims, shaped by our ignorance, bigotry and prejudice. They need to be treated leniently by courts, laws and public policy. With tolerance and acceptance of their indulgences they can be useful, harmless members of society.
21 years ago Jennings counseled a 15 year old student at a school where he taught to practice safe sex and be proud of his sexual relationship with a mature man. Thus Jennings, a mandatory reporter not only advocated man boy sex, he hid and facilitated the crime by not reporting it to authorities or parents.
For more than a dozen years he would advocate tolerance and acceptance of man boy "love'" to the admiration of many pedophiles, hebophiles and pederasts, their supporters and advocates.
In 1994 Jennings published 'One teacher in 10' in which he detailed the incident with the 15 year old, in 1995 he founds GLSEN, in 1997 at a GLSEN conference in NYC he credited Harry Hay as one of his inspirations, in 2000 a guest speaker at the Iowa Chapter meeting of GLSEN he recounts the incident to a supportive approving audience, though he will later deny he knew of the man boy sex, (despite his book) until an audio tape of his speech is turned in.
For more than a decade Jennings will credit Henry 'Harry' Hay pioneering gay activist, NAMBLA advocate and supporter as his inspiration. Hay passionately argued against many if not most in the Gay community that gay assimilation into mainstream society was the selling out distinct sexual minority subcultures that should be celebrated. Hay argued excluding groups like NAMBLA, flamboyant drag queens, leather and other S&M fetishists from Gay Pride events was cowardly hypocrisy.
Please don't take my word for this, GOOGLE all of the above and do your own research, (try Lori Roman Kevin Jennings Harry Hay) There is a discussion about "tolerance" here, very much worth having.
Please share this with friends, there are many desperate to suppress this debate.

The text in your post is too small. Please edit your post and take out all the text formatting. This forum has default text formatting that works well. Few people will strain their eyes to read the post as it is.
I did strain my eyes and read it quickly. I will not go back and do it again to get to the real details. Will do that after you fix your post.
If there is proof that this guy supports NAMBLA then he's go to go. NAMBLA is a disgusting organization.

Judging by all your posts the only reason you joined hannity.com was to smear Jennings.
As for Harry Hay he was a bit of a nut, but he certainly had a lot of good qualities. He was very outspoken when it came to preserving gay and lesbian identity and not allowing it to assimilate into general society.
As for Jennings I support him 100%. When it comes to bullying in school he knows from both personal experience, and as a true educator.
As for the matter of the 15 year old boy this can be a two edged sword. On one hand the boy trusted Jennings to give him advice and keep the matter confidential. On the other, at least by today's standards, the matter should have been reported. The result would have been that no other students would have trusted Jennings enough to consult him for advice. And there was the the issue of the boy, and we all know about the shame and suicide rate for teen agers who are outed as being gay.

Actually DLaw,
I joined to help draw attention to the progress being made to mainstream tolerance of sexual predators particularly those targeting children. From judges who give ridiculously lenient sentances, legislators and representatives who give lipservice to tougher and mandatory sentences for predators to keep them off the streets as long as possible. ( God forbid we should check repeat offenders and those most likely to reoffend for HIV/AIDS before we release them, and quarantine them for the safety of the women and children they prey on.)
From the supporters of Roman Polanski and apologist for Micheal the man-child Jackson,
to extremists such as Jennings, and Hay who defended and atleast supported man boy love, and Hay who opposed age of consent laws, defended and promoted NAMBLA and those NAMBLA represents being recognized and treated as gay.
How does one raise children to deal with and avoid predators when extremists want them recognized and respected as part of the gay spectrum?
The political correctness involved defies sense and puts innocents at useless risk, but do not even discuss such issues or you are a bigot, a hater a homophobe.

The political correctness involved defies sense and puts innocents at useless risk, but do not even discuss such issues or you are a bigot, a hater a homophobe.Let me touch on some of your issues.
First you speak of judges who give "ridiculously lenient sentences." The law in many states imposes mandatory sentencing for sexual predators who BTW constitute the small minority of child molesters. Many States, CA being one, require a judge to obtain a psychological evaluation prior to the court granting probation EVEN IF the sentence is negotiated with the prosecutor. What you fail to consider is the reality of the criminal justice system ... not enough courtrooms and judges to handle even a 1% increase in criminal trials.
I've mentioned many times that in Los Angeles County numerous courthouses now sit vacant and do not handle criminal cases because there's no funding for court staff, judges, clerks, court reporters, interpreters, and lock up staff. The LAPD just built a brand new jail and --- guess what. As things now stand they cannot open it because they cannot afford the cost of staffing. The Los Angeles County Sheriff has closed 3 jails and is threatening to close another. One jail (Men's Central) is in such poor shape it does not pass federal muster and needs to be closed down and rebuilt --- but there is no money.
One prosecutors seek stiff sentences cases inevitably end up in trial. Trials involving child victims tend to be long and tedious, often running into months, in which the court cannot handle any other cases. So like it or not plea and sentence bargaining is a necessary evil.
As for tough judges they tend to get run out of criminal courts by public defender offices who issue blanket peremptory challenges against them. It's weird going into the courtrooms of these judges because no one is there except for the judge and the clerk talking about idle chit chat.
VERY few child molestation cases involve sex acts. I would estimate that 85% involve touchings through the clothes and some fondling. The defendants who DO engage in sex with young children should be punished severely and, at least in CA, the law is very explicit. Also, even the shortest sentence in state prison for a convicted child molester (under the SVP law) could turn into a life sentence if the Department of Mental Health deems the person to be a continuaing danger and a sexually violent predator (SVP).
I'm not supporting Polanski but you need to get the facts straight. Man/boy advocates seek, in part, consentual relations with PRE-pubescent children. That was not the case with Polanski. Again, his conduct was criminal and I'm not defending him in any way.
Sex offenders generally are tested for HIV/AIDS but you cannot put a person away for life for that reason alone.
As for Michael Jackson he was never convicted of a crime and more and more people are beginning to realize he was innocent of any wrongdoing except being too trusting.
Getting back to Jennings I see you're not even willing to give the man a chance. If you don't like President Obama you should HOPE he does something in his position to bring disgrace upon the White House. But I seriously doubt that is going to happen. He comes to the job with a lifetime of experience and I expect him to do a good job.

DLaw911,
Where are you on tolerance for and main streaming members of the NAMBLA and similar communities as part of the gay community?
When they are part of the new, expanded, diverse gay community to be at least tolerated, if not treated as every sexual minority is equal, what do you say to children about the adult who wants to be their special best friend, to love them as an equal, to get together with them some place special?
Are we people who are worried about where tolerance of adults who lust for children is headed, ignorant bigots to be ridiculed, discredited and despised?
Given the public and published statements of prominent activists who have come far, advocating very radical positions on theses issues for years, if not decades, and are now trying to be above question or reproach, a lot of us are very concerned by what we have seen and heard in the news for years.
How tolerant are you of those of us who want answers to these and other forbidden questions?

Last year I represente the owner of a day care center. A child came to the center with a bloody nose. The center's owner and the teachers questioned everyone the the child said he fell when his father was "rough playing" with him and accidently dropped him. The center wrote a fax letter to the State licensing board documenting the incident. However, the law required an immediate phone call to the County Child Abuse Hotline. They did not make the call because they did not deem this to be abuse. The State disagreed stating it was not for the day care center to investigate and they should have made the call.
Not only did the State yank the license of the day care center, the parents of the child sued the center owner for libel for making the report. The center, which had been in operation for nearly 30 years, had to close and 18 people lost their jobs. So it's a pretty serious matter now ... at least out here.

DLaw911,
I am from New York we had some of the most lenient predator laws in the country until Elliot Spitzer kept a campaign pledge. NY where for 14 years legislation to increase penalties for ALL sexual predators was not allowed out of committee for a floor vote by Assembly Speaker Silver. Sheldon Silver who was unanimously re-elected to that position by his caucus every two years. Despite the complaints and appeals of crime victims, their families and concerned parents and guardians, despite the knowledge of what he would and would not let come to the floor for a vote.
Sheldon Silver is still the most powerful man in state government to this day.
If felons, and especially repeat felons can be denied weapons, why shouldn't a repeat predator likely to force an incurable STD like HIV/AIDS on an unwilling victim be quarantined until he is no longer a special threat? Isn't that how we treat people with other infectious deadly diseases they are likely to infect others with?
We have the highest taxes in the country because our legislators can find all manner of less important things to spend money on than safer streets and communities. In the low income and minority communities many of us are really fed up with the criminals and have been for a long time. And even most criminals despise child molesters and rapists loose amongst family and friends.
A lot of people are returning to and looking at lower income communities for the first time now, given the times. From the newly unemployed to retirees. And then there are our single mothers who tend to be especially protective of their children, who often crave a male role model who will make them feel special.
So let us make child predators a sympathetic, oppressed minority.
This is not about hating gays, or our President.
This is about communities with an HIV/AIDS rate second only to young single gay men, and crime and violent death rates unrivaled in the country. And the why of politicians andjudges who seem to want to be especially lenient to those who bring violence and all manner of death to our low income communities, as to no other communities.
This is also about people of all races and incomes who are tired of attempts to intimidate us into not speaking out about a clearly deteriorating situation, by distracting from the tough issues. By talking about entirely different issues more easily defended.
Where are we going with tolerance for and mainstreaming all sexual minorities including the predatory?
Where are you on 'consensual' relations between PRE-pubescent boys and adults?
As for Michael Jackson, differentiate between a man child who likes boys up to a certain age to do sleep overs in his bed with him, and any other oppressed minority man child that a child might meet, who wants to do like wise with them?

FidelisAdMortem,
Jennings is a prominent activist growing an very influential organization.
Over 20 years he repeatedly relates this story to audiences of supporters and subordinates tolerance activists, in anticipation of approval , he even relates it in a book, and he is sufficiently commended that he keeps on doing it.
Now he is a ranking Dept of Education policy shaper and opinion maker on Safe schools.
And concern or disagreement makes one a bigot, a hater, that modern day equivilant to a racist, a homophobe.

No excuse for that, EVER.You are speaking about educators and I agree. But in life there are exceptions. There are confidential relationships in which a person can be sued or disciplined for revealing confidential information.
Of course everything about the Jennings relevations is somewhat conjecture since it is hearsay on hearsay. And I don't know if Jennings was in the position of a teacher or a counsellor and I'm not sure if that really makes any diffference. But I tend to agree with you and unless the conversation was legally protected and confidential, then it should have been reported.

That alone makes him a creep in my eyes and not someone to look up. He was told by a student a minor about sexual relations with an adult. Theres no privacy issue. Why even bring it up? Not to accuse you of being a predator, but your statement about predators as opposed to Polanski implied the consent of a prepubescent was some degree of an excuse., 6,8, 10 year olds after all are prepubescent. I can see 'Friendly" petting evolving into a Polanski situation, especially if the big excitement is the thrill of getting away with the strictly forbidden. In the age of HIV/AIDS parents and guardians in many neighborhoods are very concerned, especially if the predator has already done time in prison.
I wonder how comforting it is to a rape victim of any age or sex, to hear AIDS is hard to contract, given years of safe sex promotion, especially if they know their assailant has been locked away for years, with no sex outside the pool of fellow convicts, given HIV/AIDS rates amongst convicts are much higher than on the streets.
Not to mention comforting anyone close to the victim, who knows of their situation, my personal experience (female relative, male relative, and son of lady friend after his sister's boyfriend returned from being locked away) has been not very comforting.
Back then the privacy rights of the accused meant they did not have to be tested, I am not sure if those laws here have changed yet, this is NY, preds still have friends in high places. If victims developed HIV they probably still couldn't test the predator to possibly link the disease to the accused.
With regards pioneering gay activist Harry Hay, I understand he was marginalized because he wanted to include the spectrum of sexual minorities to be found at a Harry Hay version of a Gay Pride Parade, into the Gay community. Hay wanted to try to pressure the general public to accept everyone from S&M and leather fetishists, flamboyant drag queens to pedophiles and similar predators as Gay, normal and mainstream. Apparently most of the gay community, at least at that time did not agree and Hay considered them sell outs and hypocrites. Gays who wanted to assimilate into main stream society as opposed to making society adapt to accept every sexual minority as mainstream on their own terms were also sell outs.
Jennings and those who applaud his recounting of the 1988 incident, (in which he counseled a 15 year old student to be proud of his sexual relationship with an apparently much older man), seem to agree with the following Hay statements. According to the website for the North American Man-Boy Love Association, (http://www.nambla.org/nyu1983.htm) Hay told the organization in a 1983 speech: "I also would like to say at this point that it seems to me that in the gay community (http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=111792#) the people who should be running interference for NAMBLA are the parents and friends of gays. Because if the parents and friends of gays are truly friends of gays, they would know from their gay kids that the relationship with an older man is precisely what thirteen-, fourteen-, and fifteen-year-old kids need more than anything else in the world. And they would be welcoming this, and welcoming the opportunity for young gay kids to have the kind of experience that they would need."
Hay also urged that NAMBLA, which advocates for the elimination of any "age of consent" restrictions, be considered mainstream in America.
"NAMBLA's record as a responsible gay organization is well known. NAMBLA was spawned by the gay community and has been in every major gay and lesbian march. … NAMBLA's call for the abolition of age of consent is not the issue. NAMBLA is a bona fide participant in the gay and lesbian movement. NAMBLA deserves strong support in its rights of free speech and association and its members' protection from discrimination and bashing," he said.
If the majority of the gay community rejects pedophile, hebophile, pederast types and disagree with Hay's positions, who are the GLSEN members who condone and applaud Jennings's repeated retelling of the story at major GLSEN gatherings? In 1997 at a NYC GLSEN event, 9 years after he counsels the teen and 14 years after Hay's 'mainstream NAMBLA' address, Jennings addresses his admiration of and inspiration by Hay, to an appreciative GLSEN audience.
At what point do we question who and what are the 'tolerance' leaders of GLSEN, with 4,000 chapters in American schools. The White House is now singling out and condemning Sean for taking the lead in exposing this.
Sean GLSEN could be worst than ACORN, please just air the facts about Jennings, and GLSEN membership's support of his man boy love acceptance and Harry Hay.

A bit of googling:
http://www.naccchildlaw.org/?page=ChildMaltreatment
By 1967, 44 states had adopted mandatory reporting laws. The remaining six states adopted voluntary reporting laws. All states now have mandatory reporting laws. Generally, the laws require physicians to report reasonable suspicion of child abuse. Reporting laws, now expanded to include other professionals and voluntary reporting by the public, together with immunity for good faith reporting, are recognized as one of the most significant measures ever taken to protect abused and neglected children. Reporting is recognized as the primary reason for the dramatic increases seen in cases of child abuse and neglect.
But then:
In 1974, Congress passed landmark legislation in the federal Child Abuse Prevention and Treatment Act (CAPTA; Public Law 93-273; 42 U.S.C. 5101). The act provides states with funding for the investigation and prevention of child maltreatment, conditioned on states' adoption of mandatory reporting law. The act also conditions funding on reporter immunity, confidentiality, and appointment of guardians ad item for children. The act also created the National Center on Child Abuse and Neglect (NCCAN) to serve as an information clearinghouse. In 1978, The Adoption Reform Act was added to CAPTA. In 1984, CAPTA was amended to include medically disabled infants, the reporting of medical neglect and maltreatment in out-of-home care, and the expansion of sexual abuse to include sexual exploitation.
So according to this, YEP he would have been a mandatory reporter.

As for the mandatory "report" we now have the so-called "15 year old" coming forward to say he was "16" and thus legally able to consent, but that his conversation with Jennings was about a NON-sexual enounter he had with another man and wanted some advice. I think telling someone to use protection in THAT situation is very prudent.

Not to accuse you of being a predator, but your statement about predators as opposed to Polanski implied the consent of a prepubescent was some degree of an excuse., 6,8, 10 year olds after all are prepubescent. When you make a thinly veiled statement like that you lose all respect from me.
Each State has it's own age of consent. There is no state in the US where having sexual contact with a 13 year old is legal. It's interesting to note that ages of consent seem to vary by the sex of the minor. I happen to believe the age of consent should be 18. But in some states it is 16.
The distinction between pedophile and non-pedophile is important because the former persons are much more likely to reoffend. Non-pedophiles do not have fixated sexual attractions to pre-pubescent girls and boys. Whether one is or is not a pedophile may determine whether he is deemed a sexually violent predator which, in some states, dictates whether he is committed to custody for an indeterminate amount of time (possibly).
As for Jennings you keep going back to his non-reporting of an incident which apparently never occurred. You are aware the "boy" who is now in his 30's, came forward to state he was 16 (and legally able to consent to sex) when he spoke to Jennings about a NON-sexual encounter. All of this just makes me wonder if this is not just another lying smear campaign.
As for HIV/AIDS being hard to transmit, it is very easy if you have blood exchange. But it is not contagious in the sense that if you breathe the same air, drink from the same glass, kiss and live in the same household is going to result in infection. HIV infected children who live with siblings are frequently biting and fighting each other and studies I have seen state there has never been a known case of transmission. But if people engage in sexual activity, especially risky sex (and you know what I mean), YES of course the chances of transmission go up dramatically. Rape victims should be very afraid of being infected and it is not unusual for such persons to be adminstered "AIDS kocktails".

DLaw911,
When people like Whoopee G. advocate leniency and become apologists for Roman Polanski, that does not make them rapists, though it does put their values and judgment in question. When you contrast pedophiles seeking consent from PRE-pubescent children, to Polanski raping a minor you inspire questions where your values are. Do you share those of Goldberg and friends?
When GLSEN tolerance advocates consistently condone Jennings's story HE has repeatedly told for years about a 15 year old student engaged in man boy love, and he is comfortable enough about recounting it to publish it in a book, some wonder what their values are regarding man boy love. And how widely such views are shared. He has come far either despite or in part because of supporters who embrace his repeated recounting and advocacy of his facilitating man boy love.
I would doubt he has been confused about the details of this story all this time, and regardless of whether what he said was true of not, his audience embraced what he said about condoning what he was comfortable as describing as sex between a 15 year old and an older man.
The vast majority of gays I know of resent their community being associated with pedophilia, or any type of adult child sex. Yet tolerance and acceptance of all sexual minorities seems to include pedophiles, hebophiles and who knows what other predators. The goal of tolerance activists who argue the equality and validity of all sexual orientations seem to trample the definition of gay for possibly the majority of at least homosexual gays.
Will school children be taught by tolerance activists a new definition of tolerance that ultimately redefines gay, apparently against the will of most gays? Much as traditional marriage and family is being redefined as one option amongst equals, as opposed to the undisputed single best choice of loving parents for their children as it has been depicted for millenia?
Will homosexual gays resisting the redefinition of gay be marginalized, discredited as bigots and hypocrites to be ridiculed because they resist equating themselves with all other sexual minorities, as are those who resist the redefinition of traditional marriage and family?
And who knows how many of whom, advocate predators as victims of intolerance and bigotry who deserve leniency and understanding. Way too much that affects all of us has developed shrouded in secrecy for too long. All too many of us are seeing changes we never expected, as well as al lot of pressure to be politically correct and 'go along to get along.' Is this what is happening to the trend setters apologizing for Polanski? It seems to have happened to many who have obstructed longer sentences for predators and other felons for years.
To many of us watching the evolution of the world we will leave our heirs at the end of our watch, this is far more than a passing topic of conversation.

Jeepers,
Accepting all sexual minorities are equal, including pedophiles and their sub categories does not make one a predator, just a supporter and advocate who helps mainstream that minority. Alfred Kinsey (father of the sexual revolution, author of the Kinsey reports.) advocated all sexual orientations were part of the same continuum. Serial rapists regardless of the preferred age or sex of their victims are thus part of the same continuum.
Google Alfred Kinsey Pedophiles if you want to understand the movement to main stream pedophiles and promote leniency for pedophiles and other sexual predators. Look for the works of Dr. Judith Reisman and the Youtube video of a BBC documentary called Kinsey's Pedophiles.
You will find a lot of answers to the questions of what is happening with our laws and attitudes towards predators and leniency towards them. As well as the attitudes that lead to NAMBLA and pedophile pride. This documentary includes interviews with the surviving Kinsey co workers.
I am surprised this series has not been taken down yet. Record it if you can.while you can,.someone seems to be tampering with it as I watch inserting cynical comments by an apparent Kinsey/pedophile apologist. There is a lot here to drive apologists insane.
I wish I knew how to copy this. I hope I am not alerting people to this who can destroy it, I hope those who posted it will put it up again Apparently the BBC no longer has copies
Check out www.drjudithreisman.org (http://www.drjudithreisman.org/) for copies. this has proven one of the most incredible info searches I've ever done, I am writing this on my lap top as I track down leads on my desk top. This Dr. Reisman is an incredibly dedicated and brave woman, I believe I have come across her before.
Anybody who is seriously concerned about where we are going and how we got here, with regard lenient laws Jurist, legislators, celebrities and pedophile supporters, advocates and activists needs to check out and research Kinsey and his followers. This has been around since the late 1940s, is well funded, and appears a lot worst than I would have imagined.
If you are really concerned about what we leave our heirs at the end of our watch, check this out while you still can, copy what you can while you can, and decide for your self what we are up against.

For a disciple of Kinsey, ' To not at least tolerate the full spectrum of human sexuality is pathetic and petty, to pressure such close mindedness on children is a cruel abomination.'
Please visit YouTube.com , register if you have too and look up :"Secret History: Kinsey's Paedophiles"
This is a serious BBC documentary that brings home the enormity of the movement behind tolerance of the full spectrum of human sexuality, and the philosophy of leniency for sexual predators, (predators are victims shaped by our ignorance and intolerance of their sexual orientation).
Decide for yourself if Kinsey was unstable and ultimately profoundly disturbed.
When you have seen that documentary please search The Kinsey Cover video posting and watch it,
Then Google ALEC Model Penal Code., check it out and get back to me.
Let us know how you feel about this being swept under the rug if Jennings resigns.
I think the average American needs to understand the need and reasons to take serious an established movement to mainstream at least man boy 'love' and do away with age of consent laws. I think there is a need to look at and consider the progress they have made on our watch that they apparently have so many sympathizers in places of influence, and so many so intimidated against speaking out against them.

Well, if NAMBLA advocates inspire him, that explains why Jennings reacted as he did.
This guy needs to be fired. He's a bigger threat than Van Jones.
[SIZE=2][FONT=Arial]21 years ago Jennings counseled a 15 year old student at a school where he taught to practice safe sex and be proud of his sexual relationship with a mature man. Thus Jennings, a mandatory reporter not only advocated man boy sex, he hid and facilitated the crime by not reporting it to authorities or parents.

I would have to say that because the guy lied about encouraging sexual relations between a minor and an adult. I can think of quite a few terms for that relationship...abuse and statutory rape, just to name two that describe that relationship. The fact that the guy encouraged it makes him a low life in my eyes. The guy should step down, effective the day he took office.
And I think we need to send a message to our government. STOP USING THE WORD CZAR. We are not in Russia. This is the United States of America. Anyone who wants to use the term czar...go to Russia and then see what sharing the wealth did.

DLaw911,
When people like Whoopee G. advocate leniency and become apologists for Roman Polanski, that does not make them rapists, though it does put their values and judgment in question.I will agree with you on that. Whoopie has a warped concept of criminal justice when it comes to Roman Polanski.
When you contrast pedophiles seeking consent from PRE-pubescent children, to Polanski raping a minor you inspire questions where your values are. Do you share those of Goldberg and friends? The distinction is only to answer another poster who said Polanski was a pedophile and I simply said the facts to not bear it out. Other than that you are wasting way too much time trying to read into what I said. By the way do you also play Beatles records backwards?
When GLSEN tolerance advocates consistently condone Jennings's story HE has repeatedly told for years about a 15 year old student engaged in man boy love, and he is comfortable enough about recounting it to publish it in a book, some wonder what their values are regarding man boy love. And how widely such views are shared. He has come far either despite or in part because of supporters who embrace his repeated recounting and advocacy of his facilitating man boy love. He is not being hired to be US Surgeon General or the Secretary of Education. His position involves intervention into school bullying and he has the credentials for it. If you want to judge him in that position based on something that happened 21 years ago which he admits he could have handled better, than GO AHEAD. You're not going to change my opinion that he's well qualified for his job.
I would doubt he has been confused about the details of this story all this time, and regardless of whether what he said was true of not, his audience embraced what he said about condoning what he was comfortable as describing as sex between a 15 year old and an older man.Ancient history and I don't care. It should have been reported if the young man was below the age of consent and he described an unlawful sexual encounter. It was not reported. So what's the point now? At least he was honest about it. A lot of people would never admit it happened.
The vast majority of gays I know of resent their community being associated with pedophilia, or any type of adult child sex.Yes I agree
Yet tolerance and acceptance of all sexual minorities seems to include pedophiles, hebophiles and who knows what other predators. That's crapola!
The goal of tolerance activists who argue the equality and validity of all sexual orientations seem to trample the definition of gay for possibly the majority of at least homosexual gays.No what they advocate is end of bullying and violance against ANY person because of perceived differences. In this modern day of witch hunts people can be beaten up and even killed for having a lisp.
So melodramatic. Chidren depend on good parenting adn the sex of the parents is only one factor. But children who are raised by GOOD gay or lesbians parents, that is, parents who love their kids and teach them to be good students and teach them discipline, grow up just fine. On the other hand kids who grow up with bad parents, no matter what their sex, are more likely to become bad citizens, incorrigibles and unproductive burdens on society.
Will homosexual gays resisting the redefinition of gay be marginalized, discredited as bigots and hypocrites to be ridiculed because they resist equating themselves with all other sexual minorities, as are those who resist the redefinition of traditional marriage and family?LOL
The vast majority of people deserving long sentences have received those sentences. You are hung up on the few sensational cases that make the news. Some of the shorter sentences were legitimate, and others not. But you can't make the blanket statements you do on such abberations in the system, just like you cannot throw out the entire jury system because an LA jury acquitted OJ Simpson and Robert Blake.
To many of us watching the evolution of the world we will leave our heirs at the end of our watch, this is far more than a passing topic of conversation.Every generation has the same thing to say.

Safe schools include more than just drugs...federal employees are required to receive annual training to ensure that things like sexual harrassment don't find their way into the workplace to ensure a "non-hostile" work environment. Will someone who openly supports and admires NAMBLA, in their role as safe school czar, earnestly ensure, as part of their duties, that our children have a "non-hostile" environment? Examples like this are why I don't believe there should be "czars" that are not vetted through Congress.

In the United States, "czar" is an informal term employed in media and popular usage to refer to certain executive branch officials. There have never been any U.S. government offices with the title "czar", but various governmental officials have sometimes been referred to by the nickname "czar" rather than their actual title. The "czars" have various official titles such as adviser, director, administrator, or diplomatic envoy, but such titles are often quite long or awkward sounding.
The earliest known use of the term for a U.S. government official was in the administration of Franklin Roosevelt (1933-1945), during which twelve positions were so described. The term was revived, mostly by the press, to describe officials in the Nixon and Ford administrations. Subsequently, until the George W. Bush administration (2001-2009), the term was little used.
Now the term is excessively used in order to promote the idea that Obama is a Marxist, Communist or Socialist.

Jennings repeatedly referred to his counseling of the 15 year old boy at GLSEN events around the country where he could rely on his audience to condone his tolerance and support of man boy sex.
This is a lot like going from ACORN office to ACORN office soliciting support for a brothel for under age illegal immigrant girls, and finding it every place and time.
The near 'universal' support at every office speaks volumes about who is staffing the organization.

HAPPY HARRY HAY DAY
October is Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual , Transgender history month and Harry Hay is Icon of the day for October 8th. The curriculum of which was developed through the sponsorship of GLSEN founded by Kevin Jennings in 1994. 11 years after Hay, while guest speaker at a 1983 NAMBLA event offered the following to his audience
the people who should be running interference for NAMBLA are the parents and friends of gays.
My understanding is that the majority of homosexuals do not condone pedophilia or NAMBLA or accept them as gay, Hay regarded gays who could not accept pedophilia and the more extreme paraphilas, as hypocrites and sell outs who betrayed the original Gay rebellion. He regarded gays who wanted to live and be assimilated into society as normal people with same sex attractions, as "discreet homosexuals" sell outs lacking sexual minority pride and solidarity. This apparently marginalized Hay as fringe and extremist, to many homosexuals who just wanted homosexuality accepted as mainstream, and not to be 'in your face' sexual minority activists.
I can not say how GLSEN curriculum handles the above, but given Jenning's shared admiration with Hay and Alfred Kinsey (Kinsey is GLBT History Month Icon Oct 14th), and his repeated citing of advising a high school sophomore in 1993 to be proud of his relationship with an older man, to approving audiences at GLSEN functions. I suspect GLSEN leans towards the Harry Hay - Alfred Kinsey school of all sexual orientations being equal, valid and included in the Gay community. ( pedophilia, sado-masochism, beastiality etc... included).
I do not know how such views on tolerance deal with conservative gays who just want homosexuality accepted as normal, and not to be advocates of the full spectrum of human sexuality. But I doubt Icon Harry Hay and his views above are portrayed as extremist.
Visit YouTube.com register if you must and search the video series Secret History: Kinsey's Paedophiles. it is a BBC documentary shown on British TV in the 1980s and is very helpful in understanding how and why attitudes towards pedophiles like Roman Polanski, are so lenient. I believe most homosexuals do not support paraphilias such as pedophilia, and beastialty, which is why they pushed aside Harry Hay over his NAMBLA support.
There may be many gays like Hay and Jennings who are o.k. with man boy 'love', including all sexual minorities as equals in the gay community and encouragining young people drawn to these orientations to proudly embrace them, as they would encourage young homosexuals to embrace homosexuality.
These latter regardless of whether they are homosexual or not are those I worry about being in schools and mentoring children in tolerance. (google paraphilias and fetishists and see what is out there.)S&M, self mutilation, pedophilia, etc, given intolerance of such extremes is bigotry, prejudice, oppression, the modern equivalent of racism.
There is a lot there that I and many others can only see as extremely dysfunctional behaviors, to encourage our young to embrace. But if you argue and teach all are equal, especially to children, adults should seriously think of where these social experiments can lead.

Shades of tolerance
In America's schools zero tolerance of weapons and drugs means suspending students for pen knives locked in cars,
sporks in back packs, Midol, aspirin, and kindergarteners kissing and hugging which violates some sexual harrassment policy.
But a teacher, a mandatory reporter who encouraged a 15 or 16 year old student to carry on an affair with an older man builds a career and a following promoting tolerance, and recounting the affair to approving audiences of tolerance advocates for decades.
In fact as safe school czar he is probably one of the most influential tolerance advocates in American education.
We allow those entrusted with children to go to such inexplicable extremes with policies about what will or will not be tolerated, we should not be shocked or even surprised at the extreme results produced.
While those presently administering our schools may be doing the best they can, we should not accept this level of performance and we should be able to insist on more practical policies.
Where else would such extremes of performance be acceptable for any length of time, and why do we tolerate them at schools?

Shades of tolerance II
The more I look at the extremes we tolerate in tolerance and zero tolerance programs the more I am frustrated more of us do not expect and demand better by now.
Columbine was maybe 10 years ago and zero tolerance programs cover sporks with sharpened spoon edges dull enough for Cub Scouts to repeatedly put in their mouths while they eat a meal. Drawings of weapons, soldiers, warriors, warships and warplanes are forbiodden in some places.
Locally a boy dressed as a minuteman was barred from a Halloween party for a clearly wooden musket, while kids dressed as pimps and hookers partied inside. A young Marine in dress blues was told to cover up his uniform with cap and gown at his graduation, he states he was told the school did not approve of what he was promoting.
Who can guess how many other excesses were never reported to, or in in the press? For that matter who can say how many if any people are trying to develop a better policy?
I would like to know what percentage of the time this policy produces results to ridicule, though I would say the incidents reported are enough to justify reform.
How many other professional organizations would cling so long and so stubbornly to a policy that embarrasses them so often and so graphically without working to fix it?
Has anyone seen or heard of leaders building respect and confidence in the eyes of their subordinates by acting panicked into a ridiculous response by an emergency? Or worst stampede to a ridiculous response to a trivial event, because they can not think out a good response to an emergency, even years after the event?

Even with 53 congressmen calling for the removal of Kevin Jennings as safe schools czar, the lap dog media will probably not bring attention to the story. Whether or not the balloon boy story was a hoax type stories are a much easier to tell.
The theories of Kinsey, and Hay, that all sexual orientations are equal and valid, (both admired by Jennings) will probably be ignored. As well as the story Jennings has repeatedly told approving audiences at GLSEN events of advising an under age student in a man boy sexual relationship to be proud and use condoms.
Calls to investigate and treat GLSEN as the Boy or Girl Scouts would be, if a prominent Scout leader repeatedly told such a story (of endorsing and facilitating adult child sex), to approving Scout leadership, will be ignored, or ridiculed to be discredited.

Flowercopter,
If President Bush had made an admirer of David Duke a czar, I would seriously take issue, I am black. Especially if said Duke admirer repeatedly told a story of advising a teen student involved in the Klan to proudly indulge in the philosophy and teachings of the Klan, and did so to appreciative audiences of his subordinates, who worked and taught in our schools.
Kevin Jennings has repeatedly recounted his story to approving audiences of his subordinates, most work in our schools. If any other group of educators and support staff encouraged and condoned the advising of a student as did Jennings, in a group meeting, would that be acceptable?
The athletics staff, school security, transportation, or the teacher's union, condoning advising minors of either or sex to be proud and practice safe sex in a sexual relationship with an adult of either sex (or should I ask, either or any sex), as opposed to discouraging and reporting it. Is that acceptable, is it news worthy, should it be investigated? If it were student and teacher involved, and condoned by other staff would that too be investigated, and if the media knew would it be considered news worthy?
Six years after advising the student Jennings wrote about it in a book, the year after he founded GLSEN and he has recounted the story to accepting GLSEN audiences (presumably his subordinates) for two decades after. Would he do this if he were not as comfortable with recounting it for approval, as an advocate of accepting such behavior, as would Kinsey or Hay?

Forbidden questions of safe school czar, who claims to be inspired by NAMBLA advocate
I have listened to Sean update the safe schools czar scandal in the face of intimidation to drop the subject, and been impressed by his courage and commitment.
Kevin Jennings, founder of GLSEN a tolerance for sexual minorities organization (operating out of 4,000 schools), has for years recounted a story of encouraging an under age boy to carry on a sexual relationship with an older man, to supportive audiences of tolerance activists.
Whether he knew the boy was 16 or not, he not only told the story as the student 15 yrs old, he wrote it that way in a published book. Until very recent the story had not hurt his rise to high prominence in his field. In fact it seemed to generate sympathy and credibility of his tolerance in some circles.
We have to question whether he and those he can count on to applaud the story he kept recounting are not so supportive of his tolerance of man boy sex, or all sexual minorities being equal and valid, that they can not tell students involved in all but the most extreme situations, that they may need theraputic help.
Some Forbidden Questions
If you are conflicted and reluctant to tell a child (male or female) not to become sexually involved with a adult lover (male or female), what do you do about a 15 or 16 year old who is sexually attracted to 8 -10-12 year old children? If your child were predator or prey, would you want their counselor to intervene, or atleast notify you ASAP? If they cannot break confidence without discouraging others from confiding, do you want them to encourage, or try some intervention?
A student is sexually active with dogs, or drawn to sado-masochism, or exhibiting signs of gender identity disorder, or a fetish or two or three. His or her mentor is reluctant to intervene early because they condone the tolerance of Alfred Kinsey, Harry Hay or maybe a Kevin Jennings, and thus keeps a confidence.
Instead of giving parents the choice to attempt therapy, he or she encourages acceptance. (Isn't that what Jennings has been consistantly condoned for after his repeatedly told tale?) Should they be mentoring children?
Do you facilitate or intervene in the case of an elementary student exhibiting gender identity disorder?
Recomend a student to a gender tolerence activist of the student's perceived orientation, or notify parents or guardians who may work to have their child more easily assimilate into main stream society first?
Gender Identity therapy now, and maybe not gender reassignment surgery later.
ACORN housing staff in office after office prove willing to provide at least funding for brothels for pedophiles. (Suggest a bigger draw to bring pedophiles into a neighborhood than word in the pred community of such a house, or maybe word of a school where student advisors encourage questioning youth to seek adult lovers (male or female) to role model and mentor them.)
If the ACORN situation warrants investigation, how about advisors who apparently accept if not condone man child sex and condone children drawn to paraphilias proudly embracing them?
Embrace as opposed to trying therapy that might allow them to an easier assimilation into society, as opposed to trying to mainstream paraphilias like pedophilia, beastiality, sado-masochism, self mutilation, voyuerism, exhibitionism..., ( google paraphilias, there are at least 70, then how about fetishes? )
In this environment can you tell someones who's passion is presently too extreme, that some day it won't be tolerated for those who 'consent'?
Does being encouraged by authority figures to embrace your differences and militantly demand the rest of society accept them, provide a better way to prepare children for the rest of their lives?
While much of the above is just forbidden questioning based on what some activists have done and where they appear to be going, shouldn't these forbidden questions be asked and answers sought?
Remember the repeated support for Safe Schools czar Kevin Jenning's oftold story that apparently made a 16 year old student, under age at 15, and thus a greater story of defiance for principles.
I think the issue is bigger than just removing Jennings as czar.
