well, I know where you two will be during the olympics when women's beach volleyball is on. I can't say I blame you.

Who knows maybe there will be some hot looking men wearing skimpy swimsuits that I can drool over :mrgreen:

Although winter in Brazil is like winter in Miami, weather-wise.

Rio's pitch was that South America had never hosted the Olympics while North America has done that more than a few times.

This selection leaves two continents that have never hosted an Olympics, Africa and Antarctica. I'm pretty sure the penguins aren't ever going to put in a bid for the Olympics so that leaves Africa as probably the next choice if they're going to be concerned with fairly spreading the venues around.

The Summer Olympics do not deserve to be held in the winter, and July, August, and September are winter months with some spring in late September. It should be held in February, and the NBA should call an Olympic Break in February.

Rio de Janiero is in the Southern Hemisphere, so the Summer Olympics should never be held in the winter, as they tried in 2000.

The Summer Olympics takes place in August... in August it is winter in Rio. The ladies wear fur thongs in the winter. ;)
