I have never had that operation, but i would assume ice chips would be one of the best remedy's.

I had one years back. Actually, I had no pain at all in my stomach, but my throat hurt and felt dry for a day or so. If your stomach hurts, I'd call the doctor. Maybe where they took the biopsy, that area is having a problem. I hope you feel better soon! Drink water with aloe juice in it, and you'll heal faster!

hi guys.I had my endoscopy done 2 weeks ago.I have to still see my gastro doc next week for the results in detail. I have TERRIBLE PAIN/TIGHTNESS/BURNING? in my throat ONLY.

I am on nexium 40 mg once a day...should be twice a day but I cannot afford it. PLEASE pray that it is "only" GERD/REFLUX and the pain will go away now! GOD BLESS! Kevin.

p.s. pain is only in the throat.I have no heartburn.

Well, I hope it is nothing serious, I have had acid reflux manifest itself in a very concerning way a few times and I thought I was having a heart attack the first time it happened. After a few late night trips to the er my doctors just prescribed a GI cocktail for me to have at home so i could take it at the onset and avoid the visit to the er in the middle of the night.

Doesnt sound right. I had one and never remembered or experienced after the operation any pain at all.

You might want to start gathering documentation of what has happened to you and see another doctor.

hi guys..I need your continued prayers please. God Bless ALL OF YOU! I found out today I have LPR (reflux in upper throat)-a very irritated voice box and esophagus above where the stomach closes after you swallow. I had A NEW ENT DR. look up my nose and down into my throat with a tube. This explains the "lump feeling in throat, burning up there and pain, as well as a lot of belching. I also have a FUNGAL INFECTION near the voice box. I started on one a day anti-fungal pills for 10 days to ease the inflammation and pain.

If you guys remember I had a schatzki's ring DILATION surgery about 3 weeks ago...which really did nothing. It is the GERD/LPR/HERNIA that was/is causing these problems I have.

My 3 worst symptoms for days 24/7 have been VERY BAD LUMP IN THROAT/FULLNESS feeling, PAIN/BURNING and BURPING almost constantly. I know I have also with the GERD and LPR a HIATAL HERNIA.

I am trying to lose weight and cut back on junk, chocolate and anything before bed, especially. I have been on 2 pills a day of NEXIUM for about 2 months...it helps the heartburn in the chest/stomach but not the reflux (LPR) IN MY UPPER THROAT.

I would truly truly appreciate your prayers for this pain/burning and lump to go away ASAP! God Bless you all, Kevin.:frown:
