The Heavens don't shine down on me. They *rain down* upon me. 24 inches of rain in 22 hours, to be exact. That was in September. Folks here are still in various stages of homelessness.
We've just begun moving into our apartment. Tomorrow is last and final push to get all our crap out and either to storage or the apartment.
*sigh*
Everything hurts. I am tired of moving.

I'm losing my job anyways due to workforce reduction....so I am enjoying my last few days.

I lost my job in April due to WFR. I'm going back to college in January while my unemployment continues and with Pell Grants, courtesy of Obama's "Send the Moms back to college" program.
Of course, we've also given up our house (flooding), taken a cheap apartment and will really be pushing things to do this financially, the pay off in the long run is worth it. By the time I finish my degree (I'm a Sophomore already), the job market is supposed to be improving. I will have updated qualifications that make me elibible for jobs I previously wouldn't be, and that pay more....so.....
Back to college I go.
Enjoy your last days. What are you going to do once you're "reduced"?

There was someone else on the list...someone who has a kid in college and another in high school.......I am a 30 year old single person...so I did the math and realized that I can just collect my severence and then move to Ohio where my boyfriend works and lives. It is possibly the best time for this to happen to me, so I am thrilled!!
As for what I will do next....I haven't really thought about it. Due to severence and insurance reasons, I am still an employee for the next 60 days, so I cannot get another job without foregoing my severence. I think I am going to basically do nothing for a month or 2, and then start looking for a job....but first things first I am going to enjoy sleeping in tomorrow :))
