View Full Version : DNA Tests: 'Hitler's Skull' Was Really a Woman's

I find this facinating... this could mean that Hitler did not kill himself......

------------------------------------------------------------------
Where in the World is Hitler's Skull?

A skull long believed to be that of Adolf Hitler actually belonged to a woman, according to an American scientist who has taken DNA samples from it.

The skull was taken by Soviet forces in 1945 when they found charred remains outside the Nazi dictator's bunker in Berlin.

The Russians said at the time that the findings backed claims that Hitler had shot himself on April 30, 1945, and then been cremated along with his wife, Eva Braun.

Now, however, archaeologist and bone specialist Nick Bellantoni says the skull really belonged to a woman aged under 40 and not Hitler - who was 56 when he died.

Neither does Mr Bellantoni believe the skull belongs to Braun, Hitler's long-time girlfriend and last-minute wife, who is thought to have killed herself by taking cyanide and would therefore not have had a bullet wound - as this skull has.

The Russians say they have never claimed the skull itself was the chief reason for their belief the skull was Hitler's.

Instead, they point to dental records as confirmation that Hitler killed himself.

If they used dental records to confirm that Hitler killed himself? Where did they get Hitler's jaw and teeth to compare to his dental records? Or did they just use the teeth and jaw from the woman's skull above?

I think this really raises the question of whether or not there is any real proof that Hitler killed himself at the end of WWII.

"If they used dental records to confirm that Hitler killed himself? Where did they get Hitler's jaw and teeth to compare to his dental records? Or did they just use the teeth and jaw from the woman's skull above?"Hmmm.....that could mean that the woman was in on the scam.

She could have replaced all of her teeth with Hitlers, thus the dental records comparison would have been a perfect match!

hmmm..that doesn't seem very plausible though. I've had teeth pulled with no anesthetic and that smarts! just imagine pulling all of Hitler's teeth....he'd have known for sure that something was amiss. Let alone actually transplanting them in the jawbone of a woman who'd just had all of her teeth yanked. Even if she was a Nazi fanatic, she would have had to endure excruciating pain....just to be shot in the head and then burned.

I'll report back when I have thought this through a bit more.

..does this mean Hitler was really a 40 year old woman?

No wonder 'she' grew a mustache and had such a power thing going. No amount of make up and silk stockings would have made 'her' pretty.

If Hitler did not kill himself I think there is a different explanation.

The woman did not have to be complicit. Hitler surely had no problem killing people for his own gain.

The Russians found two burned bodies. So their identity was not that easy to ascertain. They could have first assumed that one of the bodies was Hitler’s. The Russians could have faked the results of the dental work comparison to not embarrass themselves.

Or maybe they made a deal with Hitler and let him go or kept him in prison, etc. And used the falsified dental record to make the world believe what they wanted to world to believe.

I'm sure he'd be dead now even if he lived beyond the war.

I'm sure I saw a show on the history channel that said both Hitler and his woman used cyanide.

It's always been the "official" line that Hitler committed suicide, but there have also been stories of people "sighting" Hitler over the years. I'm of the opinion that Hitler died in the bunker and they buried his body somewhere under a ton of concrete.

So it might be possible that he's hanging out with Elvis and Tupac somewhere?

I really don't think it's a HUGE deal. I mean we can pretty much assume the guy is likley deader than a door nail.

I'm sure that Hitler is dead now even if he survived WWII. If not he'd be a very, very old man.

I just find this interesting from the historical point of view. Apparently Hitler's body was not in that bunker. They did not find his remains. Historically that is important.

Here's a link to a longer story on this topic. It has more details.

"The revelation is featured in a new documentary airing on the History Channel called "Hitler's Escape," which revisits the idea that Hitler may have escaped from Berlin."

Apparently the bit about idenifying the remains using dental records is not true.

------------------------------
quote:
------------------------------

"As for the dental records, they were destroyed on the orders on Martin Borman in 1944. So there were no records on top Nazi leaders with which to compare the charred findings."

One reason why there was such a belief at the end of World War II that the skull was Hitler's, Mr Williams suggests, is that everyone needed Hitler to be dead.

"Everyone wanted to close the chapter very quickly because, of course, the Cold War was just starting up. It was convenient, that's all."

Well we've all heard the story that Elvis is alive and well and living somewhere in Argentina.

The Russians likely grabbed on to the first set of bones they could find that might be Hitlers and hauled them back to Moscow for the PR value.
