What's a turtle?
Turtles are reptiles of the order of Testudines. They are characterized by a special bony or cartilaginous shell developed from their ribs that acts as a shield.

I've been trying to figure that hidden meaning as well.
Maybe their talking about the turtles made of chocolate, caramel, and pecans.
