I saw the updated version of Fame over the weekend, and it was a pretty decent and entertaining film. I liked the musical and dance numbers in the movie. I felt that the film moved along well, but I thought it would allow the characters to develop more.
It was a good film for a matinee fare.
I give it three stars out of five.

Why would anyone bother to see this? What's interesting in a remake of a bad 80s movie?
I only pray that they don't bring back legwarmers and torn sweatshirts. I'm pretty much already over the whole 'we don't know how to do anything new so we'll just recycle the 70's and 80's over and over...', thing.
My daughter was caught listening to Boogie Wonderland on her computer. Her father laughed. Her mother dryly said 'there was a reason why disco, died".
It needed to die. Having this come back is like some zombie-esque horror flick.
