So what do bicycles have to do with a Religion Forum? You may well ask. The story is simple enough.

In Israel, Yom Kippur, arriving next week, is Bicycle Day. Since it's a country-wide custom to refrain from driving vehicles that depend on an engine, the streets in most cities are clear. Children all over Israel ride their bicycles freely on the streets. While various Rabbis and Hakhamim debate the Kashrut (religious "fitness"), of the custom, the kids ride on. The most profitable period of the year for bicycle sales is the "Ten Days of Awe" between Rosh HaShanah and Yom Kippur.

Is there also a country wide custom to become silent to see for whom the bell Tolls on Yom Kippor?

And do the bells Toll after an interval or during a certain time of silence?

There are no bells.

The shofar is sounded at the end of Ni'lah [concluding prayer- when the "gates" are closed]

This month makes 7 years since your Join date in 2002 and so you are given the 20 again.

It's the Double 7's in the Jewish year.

So I'll give you Your Bikes.

'' Take Fire from among the Cherub within the Wheelworks''

'' In appearance, The Four had the Same Form, as if there were two wheels cutting through Each Other.'' {Four sides of a Temple, and four Directions meaning the order of the tribes to the Constellation animals.}

''It was These wheels that I heared it Called, ' Wheelwork'.' Bicycle day''

I would have never guessed that it was talking about a Bunch of Jews riding to and fro on Bicycycle day for Rosh Hashannah But it is cute and there are eyes everywhere just like it's written.

I can imagine the sound of a High priest walking and the silence of the city while he was doing it during Yom Kippor.

Why do they want to refraim from driving vehicles that depend on Engines Abe?It has to do with the physics of how an engine works. It involves circuitry, which is forbidden to connect and disconnect, and it deals with the fire consuming the gasoline.

As such, it is a concerted effort of Jews to actually keep the laws of Shabbat on Yom Kippur. I say, it is a beautiful thing.

Is there also a country wide custom to become silent to see for whom the bell Tolls on Yom Kippor?

Huh?

And do the bells Toll after an interval or during a certain time of silence?

What Mr. Mister said.Exodus 28:33 '' And upon it's Hem you shall make Pomegranites of Blue, and purple and scarlet Yarn, All Around it's Hem, and bells of Gold between them all around. A Golden Bell and a Pomegranite, a Golden Bell and a Pomegranite, upon the Hem of the Robe all around.

'' And it shall be upon Aaron when he ministers, and it's sound will be heard when he goes into the Holy place Before the Lord and when he comes out, That he may not die.''

This is the silence I was talking about, I would think that because the bell is being demanded to be heard, That it is heard on Yom Kippor when the High Priest Ministers to the Lord and the Bell must be Heard.

So the People are silent and listening for whom the Bell Tolls.

In That day, Aaron wears the Robe with Bells and he's mark between his eyes, '' Holiness to the Lord''

Zachariah 14:20 In that day '' Holiness To The Lord'' shall be engraved on the bells of the horses. The Pots in the Lords house shall be like bowls before the alter. Yes, every Pot in Jerusalem and Judah shall be Holiness to the Lord of Hosts.{All Priests}.

Um, Jacob? The passage in Exodus refers to small bells and balls at the bottom of a garment. It isn't like a major bell tolling.

When the Cohen Gadol walked, it was a gentle tinkling, probably not much different than jingle bells.

No one would specifically stop and listen, that I'm aware of. On Yom Kippur, the Cohen Gadol did ALL the work himself, and there were probably a lot of occasions all day when people heard that tinkling, but I can't envision that people listening to that tinkle was a major event.

Dude, I've worn things with tiny jingle bells. If the sound became so insanely mesmerizing to the people around me that they could concentrate on nothing BUT the jingling, I would be very concerned for their sanity.

The passage in Zecharia makes me think that the fact that so many horses would come to Jerusalem, that the tinkling harness bells would signify the holiness of their owners' purposes.

Really... You have gone a little overboard with the importance of bells in a Jewish context.

Really... You have gone a little overboard with the importance of bells in a Jewish context.I go overboared on it because Revelation does,And Zech in my opinion, and so we may see things different but in that time of Jingling, the sins of the whole world are being accounted for, thus the many seeds of the Pomegranites that the bells ride upon.

In that very short time, It is decided who will live or die, and the judgment of the nations.

Revelation says that heaven became quiet for a space of about 30 min because of this in my opinion, But that's for Christians.

Levitucus 1: 3 You and Arron shall record them by their groups, from age 20 years and up, all those in Israel who are able to bear arms.

The 20 is imprinted all over the Measurements of the Temple and elsewhere like the Twenty pieces of Silver that sold Joseph and the silver speaks about people, so does the Gold and so does the brass.

Jacob, I say this with love, but sometimes I look at your posts, and I think they're in English, but I honestly cannot figure out what they are saying. It's like in Finding Nemo, when the little turtle is telling Marlin and Dory how to get out of the EAC, and they look at him, and have no clue what he's saying. "It's like he's trying to speak to me. I know it."

living as part of a hiloni (secular) family in Israel, Yom Kippur was the best holiday ever. The atonement for sins was just a little after thought, the entire idea behind the holiday as a little kid was riding your bicycle through all those roads you would normally never get a chance to do so.
I can't describe to you just how surreal it looks, a major highway interchange in the middle of Tel Aviv that would normaly be bustling with cars, buses, and traffic , instead occupied by little kids riding bicycles on offramps, dividers, etc.
I'm sure the more religious Jews viewed the tradition with quite a bit of anger (Then again, anger by Orthodox Jews directed at Israel's large secular population is not a new thing), but we really did not care whatsoever.

On that post it said #7727.They all say 7727 because that is your number count at any given moment.

You wrote 7 posts more and looked at it.

It doesn't matter much anyway, I'll make all sorts of things out of Temple measurements.

I look down on the structure and Pattern and design of the Tabernacle and I see two perfectly square structures standing side by side.

The Perfect center of One structure is the Bronze alter in the Court.

The Perfect center of the Other structure center is the Ark of the Covenant in the exact center of the Holy of Holies.

They Both have 3 walls of 9 and 11 printed on all 3 walls.

Each have an opening but the sizes of the Openings are different.

Two structures that has walls of 50 cubits by 50 cubits.

The Temple of God moving in any direction it wants to because of the four beast.

''Judah is my Sanctuary''.

I believe the Temple is within the hearts of those men riding on bicycles on Rosh Hashannah.

The Temple sits facing just one direction but when you start turning the temple from side to side, it funny what Mountain peaks it can be alligned with.
