Congress has no idea of what it's doing, or what it's responsibility to the American people is. Many should consider resigning. Nobody will because special interests serve them. Just look at the issues facing our country.
Health care reform is a myth. What Congress should do is simple. First, make illegal previous, present or potential future health conditions for the purpose of obtaining insurance. Isn't that a form of discrimination? Next, open all federal health care plans to American citizens. After all, if a plan is good enough for a federal employee, it is good enough for any citizen. If Congress has to give tax credits to pay for it, so be it. It's our money, not theirs. We do not want some new government agency making our personal decisions. Look at the Social Security Administration and tell me how good it is. It is going belly up. Maybe Wall Street can bail it out! Congress has told us to get IRA's, 401(k's) and other investments to support us in retirement. Wasn't Social Security supposed to do that. Another myth is that Ted Kennedy fought his whole life for health care for all. Ted Kennedy is worth millions of dollars yet he never spent a penny of his millions on free/low cost health clinics. Why? Simply put, it was not in his interest to spend his money on it; he wants to spend our money on it. Maybe one day, hopefully soon, President Obama will put his plan in writing. I would not plan on that because he can not accept any criticism. What would happen to the Dallas Cowboys if Tony Romo needed surgery on his finger to play again this year. Of course, under Obama's plan, that would only happen for his select few.
Obama has stated he would support taxes to pay for his plan. He supports taxing soda, snacks, 401(k's) charitable donations and other benefits. What about his promise not to raise taxes on the middle class? Why is it that Washington can only think of taxes. What ever happened to cutting spending?
There is no leadership in Congress. Pelosi stated that it took her over a week to hear of the ACORN scandal. If she is that stupid, she should resign ( and if she is not playing stupid and actually is that clueless, she needs to resign now.) What about all the lawsiuts involving voter fraud? Has she heard about those now? Was she ever scared with all the threats and "hangings" Bush took? What about the movie about his assination? Or has she not heard of them yet? Every member of Congress should be able to account for every penny spent. Seriously, how much of ACORN's moneies went straight into their pockets. If charities that receive federal monies can't spend 90% on actual chairitable works, they should not reveive any money. Now Obama claims that he can cut $500 billion from Medicare/Medicaid because it is being wasted. Where are the hearings on that claim? Why won't Obama issue an executive order to stop that fraud? How can Charles Rangle be in charge of the Ways and Means Committee when he is under investigation for failing to report more than $2 Million he made on properties both inside and outside of the USA? Where are the women's group calling him sexist for blaming his wife? How can Chris Dodd be expected to regulate banks and other financial instutions when the line his campaign pockets with millions? He received a sweetheart deal to buy property in Ireland. Should't we all receive that same deal?
If we disagree with Obama, we are called racist. If somebody disagrees with Palin are they sexist? If Mike Moore and the Black Caucus think Castro and his medical plan are the best in the world, let them experience it first hand. Put them on a one way boat to Cuba, just as Castro did to us via the Marial Boat lift. They can go sit in Castro's Ivory tower and throw any opposition in jail or kill them, just like Castro.
The government could not fix a problem like Katrina. What makes them think than can take on bigger problems? Look at their track record. The took the budget passed last year and added on pork, lots of pork. Then, the "jobs creation, I mean jobs saving package" has done wonders for our country. Look at all the economic prosperity! The only ones who feel this stimulus bill worked are the ones who received the bail outs. Anybody else feel this bill has sparked massive economic growth? After all, Obama stated if we did not pass it, we would be in dire straits. What's the diffenence between Bush's failed economic policies and Obama's? Obama wants more taxes, gave Wall Street billions more and bought a car company. I fail to see where we are better off.
If Pelosi feels that protesters and tea partiers are scary, she should be. If she has no idea why people are angry, again, she should resign. Congress has peed too much of our hard eraned money in the drain. If they have money to waste, please give it back to the people who earned it. We could use it and spend it better.
Hannity states journalism is dead. He is wrong. You must find the journalists today. What he referred to as the mainstream media is completely false. They are now the propaganda arm of the Obama regime. After all, they praise him and refuse to ask difficult questions or oppose his agenda. This explains why Obama is eager to bail out failing newspapers. And will people please address our former president with his appropiate title. He needs to be introduced as "The Greatest Failure in American Presidency, Jimmy Carter." After all, he earned that title.
Unfortunately, we have the blind leading the blind. Look at all the failures in economic policy, education, foreign policy (will Obama get excited now that Iran has nukes and the IAEA duped us?) Congress put on their blinders and is following him down the road to nowhere. The one positive thing about Obama is that we have a chance to vote for people who are opposed to his policies (not skin color....afater all, I voted for Alan Keyes in the primary) in 2010. Unless, of course, Congress pays ACORN to register the Dallas Cowboys in every city!
