I can't believe this is a city Mayor! Is she high on something? Odd behavior and reactions to someone asking questions about a 'no chase' policy. I could barely understand what the woman was saying during her rant...

But when we asked Peake about her order impeding an officer from stopping a crime in progress, she became defensive and irate. The conversation went as follows:

She could not sound anymore dumb. She says no chases whatsoever, then claims she didnt say anything about if its during a crime, lol, well duh lady thats when a chase is gonna occur during a crime, total moron.

If I was a cop there, I would see nothing all day everyday. Imagine being a cop and you cant even run after a criminal, lol, why even bother having cops then?

Is that what her poorly written memo was about? Fat cops shouldn't be chasing perps? :rolleyes: Really? Why didn't the police chief simply put the officer(s) in questionable health on desk duty until such a time they could revisit a health weight and rejoin the beat cops? Wouldn't that have made more sense?

Why was this Mayor so condescending to the reporter asking the questions? Why didn't she simply and professionally explain what she was trying to prevent? Why she had made such a wide reaching and open ended statement? That would have gone over much better then the really odd and weird conversation shown in the OP. It was as though she was reacting to some horrific verbal attack...which was far from the case. She folded like a cheap tent imo under some fairly basic questions.....hmmmm...maybe the caught her on a bad day?
