Before Obama got here, there were lots, but I think they have all been archived.

My nearest neighbors in the boonies are 790 and 850 yards respectively. There is rarely a Game shot at greater then 200 yards here. And the longest shot I have ever attempted is 150yd.
I am suffering the family to waste archery practice...

Hannity forum is the one I always go to first, but if there's nothing interesting I'm usually looking at some other con/lib forum or forums for the very extreme far left and right (communists and neo nazis) : "know your enemy".
I don't use the internet for much else, family and friends I suppose.

For starters, you could harrass the person at this you tube link.

(This is from one of those "boring" threads you are pouting about. ;))
When you post, he deletes the negative. All of the positives are from the same person. It's hysterical.

Caliber?300win mag. Comes with the niteforce scope too, retails around 2,500.00 I think.
It's the nicest shooting system out of the box I've had my hands on for less than 5k.
I prefer the 7mm STW, but they don't make it in that caliber. That's a "one and only" special deal they did a few years back. I occasionally test weapons for them and that one certainly passed!
At long range though my 700 custom (rem) in 7mm STW shoots flatter and at least equals the groups but it took a lot of work to get it there. The NF scope is superior to the Zeiss conquest I have at dawn/dusk/low light, but it runs almost a grand more bought separately.

I am a turtle. I learn my way into the "new media" slowly. That link is confusing but I will study it.
Thanks I think.

I enjoy posting here but I have to admit I have noticed a lot of circular arguments and repeating themes. I don't know how many times I have stopped half way through a post and realized I am writing the same thing as the month before, and the month before that.
Were you the one complaining last month about being bored?
:)

For hunting I had given in to 308. The last 2 quarters ammo availability makes one want to rethink that. Honestly I am not much of a rifle hunter. I cut my teeth wing-shooting upland game. I have become one with the bow however.

I have become one with the bow however. If Deer are your largest game and your longest shots are under 400yds, I'd seriously say look at the 6.8mm remington. There was a big buy out of ammo for a while because of it's popularity but it's easily and readily available now.
Almost identical ballistically to the .308, but at half the weight.
My mini 14 is a 6.8, and shooting it right next to my custom M-1A out to 700yds, the targets are indistinguishable.
Mine was straight factory but I sent it to ASI in CO and had a "little extra work" done on it. Even before that it was shooting sub MOA groups at 400. It's MUCH nicer now
