and I'm not talking about the SNL sketch
it was Wolf Blitzer, Dana Delaney and Andy Richter
At the end of Double Jeopardy we saw Andy with $39,000, Dana with $3000 and Blitzer with (negative)-$4600. He was given $1000 to compete in final jeopardy, since they play for charity.
And the question were all softballs. Easy stuff, they don't want the celebs to look too dumb. Too bad for Wolfy. LOL

That has to be embarrassing, having a negative score in celebrity Jeopardy, perhaps he can be on the SNL skit instead of the Burt Reynolds impersonator, lol.

I loved when Liz Cheney just ran over him and his suggestive questions.....he had no idea what to do about it. Something like...."I refute the premise of your question, but here is how I see it....." Just took the wind right out of the old bag.

His dismal showing was George Bush's fault.
None of the questions were negative crap about Bush.

Like Rush said, you don't get to a negative amount of money unless you answered the questions wrong, so he kept buzzing in with the wrong answers.

I love the pic of Gibbs you posted. He is by far my "favorite" character in the Presbo ensemble cast.

Reminded me of the William Hurt character in "Broadcast News".
$4600 in the hole would have gotten any non-celebrity player eliminated, but of course, Blitzer got a bailout. Okay, it's for charity, but still....

Kinda makes me feel bad. I went to the same high school as he did for two years. That said, I never liked him as a journalist though.

All Celebrity Jeopardy! events have a rule requiring all players to participate in Final Jeopardy!, and the minimum donation is $10,000 to charity.
Because of the distinct nature of the modified game play, and the type of questions offered, Andy Richter's $68,000 does not count towards any Jeopardy! records. By rule, only civilian players in regular play have single-day records count. That would have made him tied for second all-time, tying him with Jerome Vered, who scored $34,000 in 1992 (score must be doubled to compare him with other all-time winners). Still, it is only the sixth $60,000 game in Jeopardy! history, and only the second since the 2001 rule change.

If we're going to blast Wolfie, I think we should blast things he says on his CNN show, not on shows where he's trying to raise money for charity.
Poor guy will never do another charitable show after this embarrassment. I feel bad about it. However, if his CNN show were to go away, I wouldn't care in the least.

Oh p'sha, he was still allowed to Donate $25 k after the show so his charity still came out ahead despite getting a doofus player.
I am certain he will find some way to blame Bush or Cheney for his moment of idiocy.

Let me see if I've got this straight:
Wolf Blitzer donates his time and raises $25,000 for charity.
Then, people here belittle him for doing that.
Classy.
Makes one wonder how many here can claim to do something comparable.
