You'll have a good season this year. Perfect? Probably not. But you'll do really well.

Congrats on your win, but I hope you play better against your future teams. Had this been a better team than Buffalo, you would have lost.

When you give Tom Brady the ball on your own 30, with 2 minutes to play, I don't care what team you are. The results will be as you saw.

Problem was, it took him to the end of the game to do it, and only because of a fumble. Patriots did not look that good last night, and considering that Buffalo's a mediocre team, that should be a bit troubling.

ETA: keep in mind that he missed what should have been two easy 2 pt conversions as well.

My girlfriend and I were at the game last night. Had FANTASTIC seats, lower lever right at the visitor's tunnel, 20 rows up.

Best thing about the entire night was the Bills fans sitting a row in front of us who were heckling the loser fans leaving early (around 5 minutes left to go) saying 'Drive home safe! Thanks for coming! See you again soon!'

Boy, they shut up but QUICK after the fumble.

The Jets won and Mark Sanchez's first game was very good. But let's be realistic: they beat an up-and-coming team in week one

However, the Patriots are still the Patriots and Tom Brady is still Tom Brady.

Patriots 37, Jets 10.

And the Pats lost last year against the Jets as well in NY. Yes, Brady's back, but Sanchez is good, and NE's defensive line looks a LOT weaker, especially after last week.

I've been a Jets fan since the days of Joe Namath, and I've seen this act before. The Jets get out of the gate with a convincing victory, the fans (and some players) beat their chests and say "this year it's going to be different", and "bring on the (fill in the blank with the latest big rival); we'll kick their butts."

Here's the deal: As long as the Pats have Brady under center and Bellicheck scripting the plays, I remain skeptical that the Jets, for all their swagger, can slay this beast. It's 8-0 and counting for Brady vs. the Jets in our place. Having said that, I'll be on hand for the game and will yell myself hoarse.

Brett Favre was quarterbacking the Jets. But it was a field goal in overtime that won it.

And the Patriots' defensive line is intimidating even without Richard Seymour. Warren, Wilfork and Green are still tough.

I'm sticking to my prediction. It'll be a minor miracle if the Jets win.

Two years ago on week 2 the Pats were running up the score.

They're not looking like they're in sync.

Yes, I know it's early, and I know that Buffalo and the Jets appear to be a lot better this season, but this is really unexpected.

And truth be told, I think the defense is suffering too.

This was a weekend from outer space.

the bears beat the steelers; saints beat eagles

I'm writing this one off with a laugh and a reboot for next week.

Their D IS suffering. They are definitely not the team of old, but its still early!

Had they trounced the Bills in week 1 I would probably agree with that. But that was a razor thin victory.

While I agree that the Pats need some work, I must point out the those same Bills trounced Tampa Bay yesterday. I don't think you can lose the kind of players that New England has lost without some period of adjustment.

Oh I agree, the Bills have been a bit of a surprise so far (although I think last year they were 6-1 before blowing the rest of their season). Just seemed odd that Brady with essentially the same weapons he had two years ago couldn't put more points up at home, especially during the second half, when he looked much better overall.

Interesting game; the D played better than against Buffalo, but the Jets were able to do what few teams have, and that is to get to Brady. Although they didn't sack him, they put on a lot of pressure, forcing early and/or errant throws; Brady did hit the turf quite a bit more than usual.

Good win for the Jets, although it doesn't mean much this early. Tough loss for the Pats, but again, it doesn't mean much this early...

That was Ryan's whole approach; a full rush. Blitz or not, it did the job of disrupting the play, and that can be just as effective as a good blitz. Too many teams are concerned with trying to cover deep on a guy like Brady, which really gives him what he needs: time to throw.

Do keep in mind, however, that Welker's absence was significant in that game as well. Brady lost one of his short-range weapons.

They did do well. Good shutdown on Matt Ryan.

But still, Jim, Brady seemed to be off. He also (from what the commentators said) wasn't particularly happy with his receivers.

Nevertheless, a win is a win, and Brady and Co. got it when they needed it.

What was that absolutely pathetic call, when Ryan cocked his arm back, threw the ball, had it batted down 3 yards away, it hits the ground, and the idiot crew tried to call it a fumble?!?!?

The crews seem to get worse every year, rather than the opposite..

I didn't get to watch the game since I live in California, so i don't know about the play you're referring to. I'll try to catch it on NFL Replay sometime this week.

That was a fairly obvious call and the fact that the coach had to use a challenge to straighten out the official on the field, who should have been corrected by the booth, is a crime.
