For those of you that don't realize it, a plethora of bans were passed out recently for people who were replying to threads that were began by obvious trolls violating the TOS.

If you are participating in those threads you should really consider deleting your posts, post haste.

Ignore them, let them drop off of the page.

When you see someone clearly violating the TOS in that manner, and respond to the thread you are violating the TOS as well, and occasionally the Mods get real upset about it.

If you ignore the topics they start they will soon fall off of the first page.

Just like a child throwing a tantrum, if you acknowledge them, or engage them you give them power. If you ignore them, they tend to go away and find something else to do.

If we get inundated by a bunch of it, then simply scroll to the second or third page back and bump up some other topics.

The obvious trolls are just, well, obvious. If we just ignore them they'll really throw a tizzy because attention is what they crave.

But here's the thing. If you lead trolls into the house, that's not good. We don't want trolls in the house. We feed squirrels in the park because squirrels belong in the park. We feed seagulls on the beach because they belong on the beach.
