I love "Pretty Paper", the version by Roy Orbison.

I've always had a soft spot for The Beach Boys Christmas album, but I grew up listening to Da Bing. ;)

oh you are so wrong wrong wrong:evil: way too early!

But I'm a Christmas freak! The Joy in the air makes me feel sooo happy.

Anyone that sings Oh Holy Night or Angles We Have Heard On High "well" is in my book. In the last few years The First Nighting Gale (sp?) Song is ranking higher on my list.

Dominique The Donkey has become a favorite for laughs. All I Want For Christmas Is a Hippopotamus is a big favorite.

Christmas Shoe's makes me cry no matter how many times I hear it.

Not to derail the thread but I'm really a Christmas Freak! The kids say santa "pukes" on our house every year. Both inside and out.

I collect Santa's and I usually don't allow myself to get my "yearly" first one until after Thanksgiving. But in CO for vacation this year i found a Christmas Store and got my first Santa in July.

On a side note...I remember my Chipmunks Red 73 record. I wanted to play it so much just because it was red and different.

Yeah, Bing Crosby is excellent stuff.

Am I wrong in remembering that I heard Nat King Cole sing Christmas songs? I just remembering hearing something Christmas-related from him and rather liking it.

Awww....me I want a hula hoop!!!!

But here is a question I have....who decided that "My Favorite Things" is a Christmas song? I wonder that every year.

Also...why is "It's A Wonderful Life" a classic Christmas movie? Only a small part of it takes place at Christmas...yet "Die Hard" takes place on Christmas Eve.......why no love for Die Hard from the Christmas loving folks?????

"The Christmas Song" by Nat King Cole is THE definitive Christmas song. It ain't Christmas without it.

When I was younger and growing up in Chicago every year WXRT the progressive/album rock station would do a Christmas show where they'd ask performers to do special songs for the show. I remember Los Lobos doing a righteous version of "Rudolph" and I remember Charlie Daniels reading a poem he wrote about memories of Christmas at his grandmother's. There were a lot of other great ones, but these really stand out. Corny I know, but I also love Hall and Oates Jingle Bell Rock.

You just made me think of another Christmas song. I can't remember who but it is something about Christmas Cookies. I bawled the first time I heard it.

My Grandmother used to make Christmas Cookies out the wazoo! It was her gift to everyone. And I mean those cookies were everywhere! In cookie tins, in boxes wrapped with twine, all over the dining room table sitting on news papers. Everywhere!

We had your regular home made iced sugar cookies, ginger snaps, anis (sp?) oil lace cookies, sniker doodles, colored cookies from the cookie "gun", punkin cookies, squash cookies, if ever there was a cookie to be made my Grandmother made it for Christmas.

I remember one year we were flying to Idaho for Christmas with my Aunt and we actually had cookie tins as carry on baggage! LOL!

Ahhhh memories!

I HATE CHRISTMAS MUSIC!!!

Ok maybe not hate but you gotta understand for three years I worked at a mall, so for 2 1/2 to 3 months I went 40 hours a week with NOTHING but Christmas music so I'm kind of burnt out on it.

Anything by Bing Crosby.

And I really like Trans-Siberian Orchestra, saw them live a few years ago and was blown away.
