Yes, it is true. According to the anchorman at CNN at around 3:30pm est, "States rights are racist."
I was sitting in the waiting room to see my physician and the tv was on CNN (unfortunately) and during a q&a with, what I believe was a syndicated columnist, there were 2 clips shown from tea parties in Texas. The first clip was from a speaker at a tea party who spoke of secession, the other was the governor of Texas speaking of state rights, neither of the clips had the statements in their entirety, of course. The person who was being questioned by CNN's anchorman stated that as a black American he felt that state's rights had a history of racism (I deduced this from listening to all that he had said) and the anchorman from CNN immediately stated that "State's rights are racist." I wish that I had some way of rewinding that few minutes of my day and linking it to you but there was no video recording device in the waiting room. I hope that if you feel it to be important enough, you will use the tools in which you and your great team who assist you can get this footage and show the nation that state's rights, which are guaranteed in the 4th Article and 10th Amendment were made non-discriminatory by the 13th Amendment, 14th Amendment, 15th Amendment, and 19th Amendment to the Constitution, and therefore cannot be thought of as racist by anyone with a working brain.
In my opinion, when the anchorman at CNN stated that state's rights were racist, he was stating it as if he felt it were fact and in doing so he felt that the Constitution itself must be racist, at least in part, as it guarantees certain state's rights. I'm glad that after I retired from the Navy I decided to strive to earn a degree in Social Studies education, as it gave me enough understanding of the Constitution that I immediately knew the complete absurdity of what that "reporter" said. What is most troubling is that I must know more about the Constitution with a semester left before receiving my A.A. than this person who is intrusted in speaking to the world about the most serious of events happening around it. And some people think Fox news is bias......
I hope you feel it prudent to speak of this topic at some time and understand that this post is long and its entirety may not be read, but if the meat of what transpired on CNN is brought to light it will show us one more time how the liberal media and liberal administration are trying to circumvent the Constitution before our very eyes. Our only hope is that Americans get off their butts and read the documents this nation is built upon instead of someone's "interpretation" of them as it is our only hope in surviving the onslaught of the socialist regime currently in office and their chronies in the media.
My best wishes to you Mr. Levin and all those committed to the truth in which you speak each time you get behind the microphone. God bless you and keep you safe. Your importance to the survival of this nation depends on you and those like you. I am proud to know that my 20 years in the Navy protected great Americans such as yourself.
