This guy is such a loser. What a great joke by the LA times (or so they say it was a joke)

Have you ever been out with your buddies, having a few drinks, when busting chops goes suddenly, horribly wrong? Like, someone says, "Nice shirt, knucklehead," and the guy responds with "Oh yeah? Well, your late father was deeply disappointed with your inability to save your marriage, and your ugly children will one day mock your multiple failures. And you smell."

That's kinda what Keith Olbermann did to the L.A. Times's Andrew Malcolm. The Times's TV section, in a likely prank, listed MTV's "Jackass" in MSNBC's "Countdown" time slot (http://www.mediaite.com/online/la-times-mistakes-olbermann-for-jackass/) last week, and Malcolm offered a gently ribbing "correction," (http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/washington/2009/08/keith-olbermann-jackass-mixup.html) wondering if viewers would notice the difference. Olbermann responded by dancing on the LA Times's grave.

See Olbermann's response, and find out who got the last word (http://www.asylum.com/2009/08/26/keith-olbermann-lashes-out-over-jackass-mixup/).

Olbermann responded quickly in his Worst Persons in the World segment, even denying Malcolm the top spot while spending more than half of the segment dismembering him:

At least Olbermann bested his cable news rival Bill O'Reilly (http://www.asylum.com/2009/08/26/jay-z-gets-served-by-bill-oreilly/) in the smack-talk category.

Andrew Malcolm, for his part, delivered a nicely underplayed rejoinder (http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/washington/2009/08/keith-olbermann-jackass-mixup.html), noting that about half of Countdown's audience tweeted him about the segment, and "both of those Friday Olbermann viewers said they were amused."

The LA Times should offer an apology to the makers of 'Jackass' for insulting them by mixing them up with such a far less respectable show.

I can only watch olberman and maddow for a short segment, their obvious contempt for American rights and seething hatred for anything that is against Obama is nauseating.

One can't even compare the likes of Keith Olberman and a true news man like Bill O'Reilly. that's like comparing a Min-Pin toy sized dog to a 300 Malamute! Oh sure...their both dogs...but ones for Mommies lap and the other is to gard the castle! lmao

Olberman cracks me up.....he tries so hard to be a 'real' news man. Maybe the blue fairy will make his wish come true someday..that is if he is a good boy.:lol:

~MystyKO started out on my local TV station as a sports reporter. His commentator career came afterwords. But, and this is not meant to be disrespectful, NEITHER is a "news man." They are both passionate and biased commentators.

Keith Olbermann Lashes Out Over 'Jackass' Mixup

Olbermann is one of the few people on TV who actually makes me physically ill just to look at him. I cannot stand that sorry excuse for a human being.

Olbermann is one of the few people on TV who actually makes me physically ill just to look at him. I cannot stand that sorry excuse for a human being. So why are you looking?

BTW that begs the question -- how about his voice?

Johnny Knoxville is far smarter than Keith Olbermann.......and sadly, Weeman is far better looking than Rachael Madchow.

I don't know about a human being, but word on the street is that he's a lousy date.........Keith Olbermann is the answer to the question 'Who is the MOST obnoxious and self-absorbed person we could POSSIBLY give a show to?'

Yes yes...commentators...commentators that the majority of the populace turn too to get their news. Hmmmm...so commentators that commentate on the news? I believe they call those pundits...do they not? lol. The shows in question are called 'news' shows or 'news' magazines....either way...they speak to political news stories of the day. There..dog hairs fully split now. heheheeheh

O'Reilly verses someone like Keith Olberman...no contest in my mind. Both bombastic in their style..both wildly known for their 'styles' of reporting...both very opinionated. However, O'Reilly actually states the story...then his opinion...then says his all time favorite byline...you decide. Olberman doesn't want us to think...just listen. There in lays the largest difference in my view between the two.

Yeah, no kidding.......for the longest time I thought he was a chick, not being a watcher of PMSNBC........then I happened to flip through the channel not too long ago and caught him on Conan O'brien.......and there it was, and ADAMS APPLE!

The only guy scarier than that dude is that old drag queen, Randi Rhodes!

http://1480kphx.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/amd_randi_rhodes.jpg Definitely a distinctive Adam's Apple there.....

Who is Keith Olbermann?

Ah yeah I think remember now - He has that comedy show on MSLSD where an ex-sportcaster plays a deranged newscaster.

They should have cast Chevy Chase, would have been much funnier.

~MystyI may agree with Olberman on occasion but I find him bombastic and irritating ... so, therefore, I can't remember the last time I listened to him Even when he was a sports commentator on ABC local TV he was so sarcastic I would watch another channel.

Yes, it's possible to agree with everything a person says and still hate the sound, tone and manner of their voice. Married men sometimes think the same thing :)

I agree........some people I just can't stand to listen to or watch, even when I agree with their position.

No kidding! With Chevy Chase you would have had the EXACT SAME political perspective, but at least some degree of charm and likability.

LMAO....yup...that sums it up fairly well.

Look..I'll listen to Beck as I fold laundry or do household chores...just happens to come on after Neil. So some days I'll listen...others days, I turn the cable off and put the music on. Same with any of them really. O'Reilly, Susteran, Geraldo (:shhh:) whoever. I may agree with their opinions or understand their rambunctious style..but I don't have to like it or listen to it either.

Our local news is a joke. You get half the story with no real meat, no context..no real full story. I feel like their feeding me toe foo and telling me it's steak. :snooty::sick::confused:

I stick mostly with Fox. At least I get to hear the actually story..and choose to either listen or don't listen to the opinions offered. No one is 100% right or wrong all of the time. But for Fox News as a entire entity...they are at least closer to 90% + honest, fair and balanced..and right now, that's the only real game out there. Sad...but true.
