I made beef stew with dumplings.

2 cans of Dinty Moore beef stew, add 1 full can of water. Bring to a boil then reduce to simmer.

Dumplings were just a box of Jiffy biscuit mix. Follow the instructions on the box, drop spoon fulls into the boiling stew. Cook 8 minutes uncovered, 8 minutes covered.

It turned out just a bit bland. I blame Dinty Moore.

Next time I'll probly get some canned chicken, cream of chicken soup and use canned biscuits for the dumplings. The beef stew was just too bland for me.

So, how much to hire you as a personal chef?

About 100k a year. And you have to pay for my housing and all medical expenses for me and my family. Plus I'll need a ten year contract.

Let's see this past week we had the following...

tonight-
Fresh brats (grilled) and grilled corn on the cob, slaw, red potato salad

Last night-
Hebrew National Hot Dogs...slaw dogs for me. I have to admit those must be THE best all beef dogs I have ever eaten.

Tuesday night-
Buffalo Burgers (with a Mozzarella slice in the middle) grilled corn on the cob (the husband has had a thing for grilled Corn on the cog this week) yellow squash (yes grilled LOL) grilled then caramelized fresh peaches with cold cream poured over the top.

Monday night-
Grilled stakes grilled zukes, onions & garlic, potato salad and grilled fresh pineapple for dessert.

That's an average week at our house...I am brining a couple of chickens to slap out on the grill the end of the week as well I think I am going to stuff them with oranges and ginger then use a orange honey glaze towards the end of cooking.

Come on now!! I'm going 55 mph and see a red Mini Cooper...I see 4 or 5 of those a day. How was I to know you had the only one in your town? :eh:
