Halloween II is coming to theaters this Friday. I'm dying to see this film. I liked Rob Zombie's version of the first Halloween film.

I loved the trailer of this film. I watched it constantly on YouTube.

The geniuses of Hollywood had pitted Halloween II against The Final Destination on the same day in August. That's just about great. BTW, I'm also looking forward to see The Final Destination. I may see it in 3-D.

I'll see it. I'm a HUGE fan of the original Halloween and Halloween II. But, I'm not that keen on the Leatherface-like Michael in RZ's Halloween, although it was a good slasher flick.

However, I do like the idea that Zombie is doing his own sequel and not trying to mimic ideas and concepts of the first HII. I am curious to see what he has in store for Michael.

Oh. I thought this is where we list our costumes.

Damn.

Well, I'm doing it anyways... Freddie Mercury. And my buddy is going as Michael Jackson. And we'll sing "State of Shock."

As to the movie, I actually may go see it. But it has to be playing at the $3 theatre, because I'm cheap like that. :) Lemme know how it is.

I'm a big fan of the originals and I was skeptical about these remakes. I enjoyed the first one a bit. The thing I loved about the old movies is that they didn't need blood everywhere and a bunch of naked women running around to be good\shocking.

I think I'll rent II when it comes out on dvd, unless it gets good reviews... Remakes these days don't get them often.

That's how I feel about most movies that come out, which is why I have a hard time spending $12 to see a story I already saw on TCM.

I saw the new Rob Zombie's movie Halloween II, and it was a good and decent horror flick.

I liked the idea of Zombie making his own sequel rather than remaking the original Halloween II. Also, I liked the storyline of how the events that Myers caused had affected Laurie's state of mind.

In addition, I liked how Micheal Myers became a much more vicious and creepier killer compared to the last one (as if that was possible). Also, the film once again dwell on Myers' childhood. This guy have some serious mommy issues. No doubt that the Myers are one seriously dysfunctional family that would make Dr. Phil blush. :)

I especially enjoyed the performance of Malcolm McDowell as Dr. Loomis who, in this film, became a sellout who tried to capitalized on Myers.

I loved the dark cinematography of the film as well as the darker tone.

My criticism of the film was that there were too many dream sequences in the film. Also, it could have been much more suspenseful and scarier (although I enjoyed Myers' killing scenes).

However, I did enjoyed watching this film. I don't know if there will be another installment of the franchise, but I hope that it will be a little bit better. Overall, though, I though Rob Zombie did a slightly decent job directing this film.

Plus, I loved the "Weird Al" Yankovic's cameo. :)

This is a worthy film for a matinee fare.

I give it a grade of an B.

ENJOY!!!!!

I didn't like it. While the first Zombie Halloween tried to make the story more realistic, which I enjoyed, this one went in the opposite direction. I guess it's this director's take on the 'reason' why Michael does what he does.

And they never really explain how Michael survived being shot in the face at the end of the first movie, and for some reason, the police 'losing' his body doesn't seem to bother anyone.

And the 'twist' at the end has been done before in horror movies, even in one of the earlier Halloween films.

I am a huge fan of the Halloween franchise...but I am not sure I want to see Halloween II. I did not like Rob Zombie's version of Halloween that much.

Seriously.....am I the only one who really does not care about the psyche of Michael Myers? Just let him kill people and be done with it.
