Found a great resource: http://obamaspeeches.com/
Transcripts of Obama lying all the way back to 2002. I've been going through them finding all the funny stuff he said about how horrible it was that Bush was spending our children into debt. :))
I bet we can find a lot of "no one making under $250,000 will see any of their taxes go up" nonsense as well.
Have fun pointing out the blatant hypocrisy.

I like this complaint against the Bush administration in "The Way Forward in Iraq" Nov. 2006 (bold is mine):
"No matter how bad it gets, we are told to wait, and not ask questions."

On the Patriot Act:
Unfortunately, that strong bi-partisan legislation has been tossed aside in Conference. Instead, we have been forced to consider a piece of rushed legislation that fails to address the concerns of members of both parties as well as the American people.
i have also bookmarked this gem. Thanks iggy!

Good one, Iggy.
I found this little gem in one of his speeches from 2006:
When the people running Washington are accountable only to the special interests that fund their campaigns, of course they'll spend your tax dollars with reckless abandon; of course they'll load up bills with pet projects and driving us into deficit with the hope that no one will notice.
This is going to be fun.

It seems to be a pro-Obama site. If so they might want to hide some of those. His views on the nuke option as the minority party in '05 are kinda interesting.

Innaguration day:
We will not apologize for our way of life, nor will we waver in its defense, and for those who seek to advance their aims by inducing terror and slaughtering innocents, we say to you now that our spirit is stronger and cannot be broken; you cannot outlast us, and we will defeat you. (we just won't call it war anymore)

Great site, Iggy - Thanks!
I don't watch his infomercials anymore, but I hear bits and pieces played when issues are debated. My favorite of his is "I do not believe in looking back."

"Now even as we speak, there are those who are preparing to divide us -- the spin masters, the negative ad peddlers who embrace the politics of "anything goes." Well, I say to them tonight, there is not a liberal America and a conservative America -- there is the United States of America." -- Barack Obama, 2004 Democratic Convention Keynote Address.
"I won." - Barack Obama, January 2009
"You can't just listen to Rush Limbaugh and get things done." - Barack Obama, January 2009
"If you get hit, we will punch back twice as hard." - Obama Administration, January 2009
"I think early on, a decision was made by the Republican leadership that said, 'Look, let's not give him a victory, maybe we can have a replay of 1993, '94, when Clinton came in, he failed on health care and then we won in the mid-term elections and we got the majority. And I think there are some folks who are taking a page out that playbook." - Barack Obama, August 2009.

On the same note (again from the Way Forward in Iraq speech):
"And this has been true for those of us who looked on the rubble and ashes of 9/11, and made a solemn pledge that such an atrocity would never again happen on United States soil; that we would do whatever it took to hunt down those responsible, and use every tool at our disposal ? diplomatic, economic, and military ? to root out both the agents of terrorism and the conditions that helped breed it."
ummm, every tool except a power drill....

This is both good and bad, Iggy. I want to read every dang word and pluck out every falsehood, every manipulation, every distortion and obfuscation. But that will be hours.....lol. Worse, as I read, I can hear him talking and I really don't like that.

From 5.23.2006 speech on Immigration in support of e-verify: "We need an electronic verification system that can effectively detect the use of fraudulent documents, significantly reduce the employment of illegal workers, and give employers the confidence that their workforce is legal."
In June 2009 after postponing the e-verify program for the fourth time: "to permit the new Administration an adequate opportunity to review the rule."

In June 2009 after postponing the e-verify program for the fourth time: "to permit the new Administration an adequate opportunity to review the rule." Note that immigration reform isn't enough of a crisis for him to address until next year. See, he can get UHC on the books and claim he isn't going to cover illegals. Then next year he can make them all legal so they get insurance.
