The town halls have been going great, but Dems are planning a retaliatory stand against the astroturfers.

Are you prepared to take on a possible onslaught of leftist dribble? Their timing will be calculated. You know it's coming, so what do we do to prepare for it?

It is a calculated timing. That's a very good point. They do it right as congress is back in Washington.

We are running out of time. And we need to get out there and make our voices heard.

I'm ready and willing and going to do it.

If those opposing government-run healthcare take a reactionary approach to the left's insurgence in the debate, then this is over. It could be too easy for them to shift the momentum in their favor. It's always best to take a proactive approach. Counter them as they are making their stand, not afterward.

I could see their efforts failing though if they limit themselves to just rallies and sign-holding. The real value in the opposition to government healthcare was that Congressmen were involved and even though actual debate may have been stifled, people were finally able to voice their concerns.

These pro-government healthcare people will likely be limited to just being annoying in public places and voicing themselves to miscellaneous passerbys.

I'm wondering about something else.
Remember, "why the rush?"
What if the rallies are successful and leads to a bill passing?
Then the opponents will wish they did have a vote when they had public opinion, and the numbers on their side.

I have attended a town hall meeting an expressed my feeling against this new health plan, I attend a tea party evey Friday night with a goup of about 15 -20 Patriots, the response is very good from passer bye's in cars. I have called my congressman numerous times, I only get the form letter back on how & why he wants health care reform. Another thing we can all do is to e-mail eveyone on our puter contact list & ask them to forward it to thier friends , I belive this will help keep the ball rolling. As has been stated here the town hall meetings are going great, we need to keep our guard up thats for sure. :flag: This from an old national Guardsman..lol

In the end, this comes down to a very fundamental question. What will the citizens of the United States do when their government adopts an attitude that states: "We rule you, and we shall do as we wish."

For everything that is happeneing now reflects such an attitude. Health care will pass, because the democrats will follow it up immediately with the amnesty for 30 million illegals which will ensure that they face no consequences at the polls in 2010 and 2012.

Given the utter stupidity of the Republicans when it comes to the illegal issue during the Bush administration, I don't expect there to be enough votes to stop that.

Run? What run? Why do they need to run anything. They own the House, Senate and the WH and still can't push this bill through!!!!!

Don't forget to bring your gun.
Just curious, but why are you advocating for folks to bring guns?

The real problem is that people are sick and become sick. Treatment of disease is what cost the money and since penicillin very little has been cured. The fear behind a cure is that pharmaceutical companies will put them self’s out of business. If Obama really wants to make a difference in America he should put Americas best and brightest to work finding cures to disease. I think this will solve more problems than it creates. With all the money he is spending Obama could train and employee Americans to come up with cures to disease solving the unemployment situation and the health care situation at the same time. Americans will get results when given the opportunity. Maybe Oboma is right change might be needed and people might have to make a sacrifice. I just pray people can give up their fifth vehicle and third vacation home for awhile or find some other way to earn it rather than continue to screw other Americans. Do not get me wrong Capitalism is great and it is what made America what it is today but do not forget Democracy is also a contributor and is much more powerful.
