I sit here listening to the airwaves full of political rhetoric from the pro-Obamacare people in congress and the President and wonder why it is all pro-health care. I'm sitting here wondering why the people in government who are against the government take over of health care are for all intents and purposes silent. My senator Mel Martinez isn't for this (or assume he isn't since I've not heard from him) yet I've not seen him or any other member of the GOP hitting the airwaves to explain why this bag of #### is wrong for the country and why they don't support it and countering the liberal propaganda machine that is intent upon forcing this upon the citizens of the country. The closest I've seen is some CSPAN clips of N. Carolina rep Patrick McHenry in a town hall setting explaining to his constituents why he is against it. The most vocal anti Obamacare politician is Sarah Palin and she isn't even a congress person with a vote. I get weekly letters from Michael Steele asking for more money to fight this yet I've seen NOTHING from the people I elected to represent me being out there and fighting it in a public manner. Why are the democrats holding town meetings to advance this while the GOP is sitting silent? Do we not deserve to be represented as well or are our politicians, the ones who are agasint this plan, too afraid to speak out?

the ohio dems are in hiding. they hold rigged tele-town meetings with preselected questions and preselected answers.
they dont answer their phones, and their staffers give me the "i dont really know anything but you can check the congressmans website"
their townhall schedule is nowhere to be found.
time to clean house in the buckeye state.

Ditto here in Il. Halvorson sprung up with a last minute, unannounced TH last weekend. The one before that, she turned away those who were not Union members or Democrats.

My concern isn't the democrats but rather the Republicans. Why are my representatives, the people who I voted for to voice my beliefs because in theory we hold the same political principles, not fighting this on a public forum? Why are they not speaking out against it?

ohio republican reps are holding town hall meetings and wallowing in it. big receptions. zero media coverage.
i know they should be on TV doing it, but who's going to book them but fox?
fox runs the heavyweights because they can get them.

My congressman has been all over Fox News. I even saw him on Red Eye one night. I've also heard him interviewed several times on the radio.

Still, I don't believe we are being effective at getting our message out. Our messengers seems to be the average Joe who is attending the town hall and round table meetings, meetings run by elected representatives of the democratic party, where they ask questions yet don't get answers or just get canned answers formed by the White House. What, can't republicans hit the air waves? Can't we buy an infomercial? Can't we sponsor rallies? Our message is strong, our concerns valid yet we have little support from our ELECTED officials. To me it appears they are happy just voting against it but going beyond that doesn't appear to be something they are interested in.

Something is wrong in the RNC! Start cutting their money off and see if they'll come around. See how many "blue bloods" will pony up their personal funds for the message. This is the only way in America to get people's attention.
