Somehow I knew you were going to be the first to respond to this...

This time I am ready for ya! Before we leave you are going to receive a special gift, since I still have your old address.

LA, you are by far the most amazing supporter a Soldier downrange could ever have and that is simply that.

So for a futer thank you, here is to you! :flag:

Ahhh, I don't need anything, I just need you to go, give the dirtbags hell and come home safe!!! It's after 1am here and I keep thinking about your last tour in Iraq, are you going to be with the same team, by chance? You guys were really good together and all came home safe! It would be nice knowing you were together again out on all those patrols you do!

I actually have some regret about that, my team, as it were, is no more. I transfered to Montana when I got back the last time because of issues with the chain of command or lack there of, and we have gone on to grow in different directions. As you knew PFC Fry, he is now a Sergeant and a team leader himself back in Iraq as we speak, I correspond with him weekly and he is doing well.
SPC Detavinier is now believe it or not Dr. Detavinier and in his second year as a first class shrink helping us dogs of war live in the real world.
I actually lost one of my other team leaders to a silly and wrong shoot out in Rock Springs Wyoming, he was a police officer and gave all on duty.
So it is in a bittersweet way I remember my platoon from the last deployment.

Most of those that went with me the last time are living well and doing well in the civilian world. I miss them.

It is a new group of Warriors that I lead now, and a good bunch. They shall shine all on their own. I do have one from the last deployment that went with me to Montana, and he is one of my Section Sergeants. Ross, reminds me of myself and is often my check and balance as I have no LT.

Your needing anything is not really relevent, lol. Long about Christmas, ware the presents.

Well, I'll look for that "something extra" to put in that package I hope to send your way this next week, but I'm having trouble finding the "one size fits all" pink silky boxers with "I LUV NY" on them! ;) That may have to be a deployment shipment unless they are now issuing them "in theater," hard to tell with you Army types.

Sheesh, he looked like a happy guy yet a get it done big fella, Cav, somehow I can't picture him in a big chair listening to someones problems! When you see him tell him "hi" for me and give him my best wishes for maximum success!
