Obama in good standing as Ramadan begins

Egyptian fruit sellers name best dates in tribute to U.S. president

CAIRO - For the Islamic holy month of Ramadan, Egyptian fruit sellers have named their best dates of the year after President Barack Obamahttp://images.intellitxt.com/ast/adTypes/2.gif (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/32509983/ns/world_news-mideastn_africa#) in a sweet tribute to the American leader for his outreach to the Muslim world.

Dates are a traditional food for Ramadan — which begins Saturday in most of the Islamic world — since the Prophet Muhammad is said to have used them to break the month's sunrise-to-sunset fast each evening.

During the lunar month of Ramadan, observant Muslims refrain from eating, drinking, smoking and sex from sunrise to sunset. It is believed that God began revealing the Quran to Muhammad during Ramadan, and the faithful are supposed to spend the month in religious reflection, prayer and remembrance of the poor.

It's Classic!:

Obama in good standing as Ramadan begins

An actual AP Headline...

Who ****ing Cares what Standing he has with Islam at the Beginning of Ramadan?...

Liberals with a LOT of Misplaced Guilt and Sympathy or Fear of our Enemy, that's who.

Why isn't it better to be good standing than not? The least it can do is nothing and maybe it will actually help our relations to the legitimate governments over there.

Did the AP Ask the Islamists in Afghanistan what Standing Barry is in with them?...

Iran?...

It's more Cherry-Picked, Messiah Worship Crap from the AP, and they are Raping the First Amendment each and EVERY day that they Continue to Cheerlead for one Side over the other...

It's NOT their Job.

Ramadan actually from what I know, from the news and from a friend who's Muslim, who usually ends up shedding about 10 lbs during Ramadan, the main streets in many predominant muslim countries actually sound pretty festive at night during Ramadan.

Nothing open during the day, and the fasting seems a little rough. But once that sun goes down, the streets and the food vendors come to life, and everyone goes out and feasts like there's no tomorrow. All sorts of food everywhere you look. Kind of like a bizarre version of Thanksgiving at night, where there's tons of food on every table on the street, and you sit, eat up as much as you can, and chat among friends.

This is about Obama's standing WITH EGYPT...an important ally of both the USA and Israel. The source article has absolutely nothing to do with his standing with Islam.

Well, for the Headline Reading Populace that the AP is Indoctrinating, the Headline doesn't Specify ANY of that...

Ramadan is Islamic... Barry is in Good Standing as of Ramadan according to the Cherry Picking of the AP...

The Headline doesn't say who that Good Standing is with, does it?...

So when Opening AOL or MSN or whatever Browser one uses, and these Engines grap the AP Headlines they do, MANY People read that an went about thier Day without even Touching a Paragraph of the Actual Story.

Get it?

Didn't ole Obammy and his "Reverend" the racist crazy man try to convince us that Obammy is Christian?

Question: Since Obammy was inaugurated, has anyone seen even ONE traditional picture of the First Family attending Sunday Services at a Christian Church? I know I haven't.

Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?

It's about Obammy's standing with EGYPTIAN FRUIT SELLERS (Moslems), *not* his standing the EGYPTIAN GOVERNMENT.

Fruit sellers in Egypt are the equivalent of the folks at the Farmer's Market here in the USA. ;)

What rock are you living under, they claim to be Christian.

They worked *really* hard to convince the world that they were Christian. Especially considering they sat in the pews of the Racist Reverend Wrong, listening to his racist, anti-American, anti-White, Black Nationalist rants damning this country to hell.

20 years they put on the show....and now? Now that they've been busted, and Rev. Wrong is under the bus, they don't go to Church? Wonder why that is?

Could it be they're actually Moslem to begin with?

I'm guessing that's exactly it. And they know it's not the right kind of photo Op for a First Family to be seen entering/exiting their Mosque with their Mullah standing next to them smiling.

I'm telling you....the folks that elected this person to destroy this country couldn't have picked a better enemy.

Obammy is the 5th column. He's done more damage in the 8 months of his presidency than I ever ever ever imagined he was capable of doing. It will take 20 years to un-do much of the nonsense he's pulled already. I shudder to think we have 3.5 more years to go.

I *do* know this. He is going to be a ONE TERM WONDER....and thank God (not Allah) for that!

Is it just a coincidence that Ramadan comes at the same time as Obama's "vacation" in Martha's Vineyard? With a slobbering complient media, no one is going to question why Obama doesn't eat during the day. It will be interesting to see how much weight he loses when he gets back to Washington.

A Muslim co-worker of mine said that in his native country, during Ramadan everything switches from day to night. People sleep during the day and work at night, because they have to fast while the sun is up. To each their own.

Now, back to this country - anyone notice if Obama is eating during the day?

In all fairness, I think Ramadan lasts for a month. So, we will have an opportunity to watch B. Hussein when he goes back to his (temporary for the 3 1/2 years) home.

Had a few friend of mine recently go to their homeland in Lebanon.

When they returned they were really amazed by how well people are getting along, the Syrians are acting like good neighbors, the Iranians are getting more moderate, even the Palestinians are content and working towards peace with Israel.

I asked my friends what the difference was, and keep in mind these chaps are quite conservative and absolutely hate the President.

"Obama's speech in the middle east".

I had a hard time wrapping my head around that, but they were insistent, that speech signalled an end to an era in the minds of many Muslims, an era where foreign influence held a prospect of neverending turmoil and violence and intrusion.

There is a sense that better times are ahead, a peaceful time, and spirits are generally higher than they have been in a long time.

This is good news.

But spin away....
