Did anyone caught the season premiere of Project Runway last night on Lifetime?
It looked like it will be a good season.

I did. I'm not sure what to expect yet. No real favorites this early in the season.

I actually liked Bravo's "The Fashion Show" better

I confess. I watched it.
I was glad to see the space cadet chick go.
The guy that won the immunity absolutely had the best dress.

I liked "The Fashion Show" but it didn't have Tim... and I LOVE Tim. (Though Isaac Mizrahi was good, he took more of Michael Kor's role.)

I missed the premiere.
But I hated "The Fashion Show." None of the people knew how to sew. And Kelly Rowland served no purpose. She never had input apart from "I agree." Not to mention she got all arrogant about the B-girl challenge.

I watched it. It was OK but for some reason I loved it on Bravo. It was cool to see the 2 hour show beforehand, I love Chris March so it was good seeing him again.

::raises eyebrow:: I wouldn't say none of them knew how to sew, several of them didn't. I also though James-Paul had one of the most interesting perspectives on clothes I've seen in a long time. Even though I knew he wouldn't win.
Also, I'm not sure how not seeing the clothes up close and personal you would be able to tell whether some of the clothes had shoddy workmanship if no one told you.
Also, the Fashion Show was chocked full of opinions from fashion professionals, who more often than not were harsh as hell.
As for Kelly Rowland, she was just a filler judge, no one actaully ever really listened to her.

I loved Isaac Mizrahi on that show.
That's because he was awesome.

I caught it last night when it was rerun at 9 pm. Not sure about the move to LA - I recall when The Apprentice moved to LA, it was the beginning of the end. I thought that the skill level of the people in The Fashion Show wasn't up to the Runway standard, but I actually liked Mizrahi - I know nothing about him, but his advice and perspective always seemed very focused. On the other hand, the production values of Runway are much better.
