All you really need is "Una Cerveza Fria por favor" and "Donde es el bano?"
Of course "Immigration" can clear a room here in the US!

Cute. The toddler has since grown up and manages quite nicely on her own. The dog still needs my interpretive skills.

Yep, when I joined the Army they said FTA meant Fun, TRAVEL and Adventure
I enjoyed living in Europe for 3 1/2 years and traveled as much as possible from 1983-1986
French: obnoxious and elitist
Irish: Warm and friendly
English: Good to party with, speak funny
Visiting East Berlin when the wall was up really drove home the differences between a free society and communiusm.
Egypt during Bight Star 96 showed me the squalor of Cairo and a poor society.
Travel is very broadening.
To quote Chuck Berry and Linda Rhonstadt:

Speak a little: Spanish, German, Italian, and Hindi (turned off the subtitles to a lot of my favorite movies, and I can understand them. Got to talk to my immigrant doctor in Hindi and he loved it). I can read and write some Latin.

Wake Island is cool, isn't it?
"Where America Begins Her Day" is their slogan, since it's the first U.S. territory, timezone-wise.
Since you were there, did you also get to Johnson Island (Atoll)? Now, THAT place is da shizzle! :)

I talked to him last Friday... he was feelin' kinda blue...
I suggested he go to Chicago Saturday and spend the day splashing around at the beach by the aquarium and maybe taking in the Navy Pier...

I'm not entirely against road trips. Just that I can't afford them and don't really want to go alone.
