Can someone tell me if healthcare needs goverment competition to induce lower cost and better service. Why don't public schools? Let's have the public school system open up to the private sector for better service and lower cost. Then we will see how fast the goverment schools fail with competition. We have bigger problem with schools than we do with healthcare.

I'm not sure I understand the question but let me try.
Every time people are given the option, with their own money, using your schools comparison, i.e. vouchers, the public (government run) schools lose. People know how to find the best value for their money. That is a main reason so many are against the voucher idea.
This health "plan" they are talking about does nothing for lowering prices or competition other than to eliminate any option other than the government one.

I'd love to see both education;from k-college; privatized and void of any govt. money as well as health care.
