Last evening Dr.Paul was on Larry King...
The main piece is Paul and 2 fellow doctors Dr Paul Song & Dr. Sanjay Gupta debating Health Care reform ...
CNN stacked the Deck against Paul only to come up short...
Dr.Gupta even came away with a new understanding of Government waste....When Paul schooled him on the 50 Billion being used to supervise themselves...@7:05
part one...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8dqXV08lPg4&feature=channel_page
In the 2nd part Paul states "We'd Have Trillions Of Dollars To Spend If Didn't Have These Wasteful Wars!"
http://www.youtube.com/user/MoxNewsDotCom#play/all/uploads-all/2/p_A4b1LSkh8
And I agree If we drop all these foolish Wars, chilled out on the Foreign aid and quit paying for Illegals...
Maybe we could afford to spend alittle coin on people here at home...
The American people should be the main prerogative ...no one else..**** that

I would disagree...but I rather talk about why Paul is the only Republican staying in the fight after the election...
I can't name another Republican out there on camera fighting this crap as much as Paul...many appearances on air each week
Although I was surprised to see Mitt on Sean's show today...It seams like Fred,Mitt,Juan, etc, etc are gone...you don't hear a peep
The only people you hear speaking out about this crap is talk radio,Fox and Paul...and thankfully for them Americans are now rallying...imo

Why not not spend the money on wars but then not try to find other things to spend it on either?
Want health insurance for the uninsured?
Fine as long as the cost is paid out of a real Federal budget surplus.

Hell I'ld even throw FEMA under the choping block. I meen my god, how many times does a hurricane need to blow somones house down, or a fire burn it down, or tornados wipe it out befor an area should be considered "Live here at your own risk". I didn't understand Ron Paul for many years but I'd say the past year or two he seems to make sense to me now.
It seems to me he does want the best for Americans and believes in the concepts of "we need to take care of America and Americans first"....
And I agree
I believe we need to keep America and Americans safe and we need to spend to keep up safe here on our shores but I do not agree with so many young boys\men dying\being butchered over over there ....
We are losing all our young men over there and for what? For who?
And what is this so called Prez.. of Change doing ..ugh sending more troops to the next battle killing field Afganistan (afakafaganamessss..).
Nothing over there will change - once we leave they (the arabs\persians\etc;) go back to killing one another... ...
It is not for us to decide, it will be the will of destiny......
If we are attacked on our shores I will pick up a bat and fight along side of our young men .... but if its not on our shores and is a thing that will never end - fate - destiny, then I say bring our boys home and when they come home We All (all nationalities\races\religions\ethnicities) need to honor them, respect them, help them....and anyone who will not help, respect or speak up for Our American Troops when they come home is a dirtbag and should be cast-out.

All find and good but nowhere near 100 billion and that's if we completly abolished those programs which I'm more than fine with. Thanks for excellent choices though.;)

Wave bye bye to the space program and a host of alphabet soup agencies and programs.
There are millions of acres of undeveloped land that should be returned to private land owners, or leased for mineral exploitation.

NASA infrastructure and assets gets sold or leased at auction with a performance clause that it reverts back if the buyer doesn't keep it up and a clause for a percentage of any profits that are made to go to funding technology education and R&D type things, or something along those lines.

Worldwide Governments Spend 62 Billion Dollars On Space Programs
Euroconsult has announced that world government space program expenditures are at a historical high of more than $62 billion dollars in 2008, with planned satellite launches in the next ten years to increase 38% over the previous decade.
According to Euroconsult's new report "Government Space Markets, World Prospects to 2017", governments have clearly entered a new phase of investment, committing to the development of a new generation of programs worldwide. Furthermore, government space program expenditures worldwide are expected to grow at 4.5% per year through 2012, reaching nearly $70 billion.

If I were in charge I would make sure Americans received bills for taxes every payday instead of automatic payroll deductions. If we didn't have these foolish wars we'd have had more terror attacks on US soil.
First let me say that I do not think Ron trumped these people in the video. I think he did as well as them and no better. I do not think this debate had a winner.
But to your point, I do not think Ron Paul is against going after terrorist. I think he could support going after and killing any terrorist who is a threat to america. I do ,however, think he is against nation building.
No one can tell me that the United States can not wipe out Iraq and Afganistan is no time at all. We have been at this since 2001 and most of the time has been spent providing security , allowing them to vote, etc etc. We are nation building.
How about we focus on terrorist. The terrorist are the threat. Our job is to get the terrorist and leave.
Is everyone trying to tell me that we cant kick a 3rd world country's ass?
Is everyone trying to tell me that we do not have the intel to get the terrorist?
Are we that bad?
Go after the terrorist, corner them, kill them
I do not mean to support Ron Paul, cause I am not one of his supporters but he is right.
How about we take all these men over there that are focused on nation building and turn them loose to hunt the terrorist like dogs and then bring them home.
If we would have done that from the start , this would all be history already. Hell if we would have done just this, Iraq and Afganistan would both be safer as well.

A smart man, no doubt. Although some of ideas are out there, he definitely has the right motives.
Ideally, he would've been the Republican nominee. Sadly, the base decided to laugh, marginalize, and paint Paul as a kook, when he was the only one who had a brain out of all of the candidates.
The same people that are crying about their constitutional rights and liberty stood silent when Paul rightfully criticized the previous administrations wrongdoing. That's why it's hard to take most people seriously who are whining about their freedoms and are all of a sudden constitutional scholars... because they are the same ones who mocked Dr.Paul.

Yep. Shame we have this media driven off the rack image obsessed culture.
Dr. Paul was the only one I heard of proposing to repeal Sarbanes-Oxley, knowing that it is the quintessential congressional knee jerk reaction to corporate scandal that costs this country billions of dollars and who knows how many jobs.

This may seem naive of human nature, and there would certainly be problems, but I think that the main reason why some people say "don't touch my program" is because...
1. They have been forced to make an investment in it for years and without any return, that doesn't seem right.
2. The changes or alternatives offered, almost always give them LESS choice and control, not MORE.
I think that is an important distinction to make, especially in light of the health care debate. Replace government run medicare with something that clearly gives recipients more control and choices, and they won't be getting up and saying "NO NO NO".
