Okay, so I'm listening to Sean on the way home from work today and some schmuck is on the line insulting Sean and calling him a liar as well as making fun of a lady who Sean was vehemently defending. It made me philosophize about things.

Here it goes:

There are some on the right that I try not to listen to/read/watch just because I believe them to be an embarrasement to the conservative movement because their rhetoric is so over the top, it's idiotic. While I don't have any conservatives here on ignore, there are several that I don't bother to read what they wrote because I have learned that rolling my eyes that hard really hurts.

I was wondering who here feels the same way about their party, while you agree with the party there are some in it that just overstep the bounds of good taste and decorum and you wish they would just shut up.

Come on, be honest.

Poll to follow.

BTW, the schmuck that was being idiotic toward Sean was a liberal, but it still made me wonder if any of the libs out there who heard him rolled their eyes and screamed "shut up" at their radio.

Plenty, Michael Moore most of the time, Olbermann some of the time. Any random hysterical person protesting for their pet issue, etc.

I am an old school conservative as my name implies but there are many liberals I know that I enjoy being around than even some fellow conservatives. Regardless of ones party affiliation or political beliefs a persons demeanor and social skills go along way when it comes to who I have respect for and credibility. That is not to say that I would agree with a liberal with a good personality because I believe in the "agreeing to disagree" philosophy.
You never know in that some liberal may end up being the best friend you will ever have in your life(outside of marriage of course).

Yes I feel the same.

Any thread title that has me rolling my eyes I try to avoid.

I know there are Conservatives that get extremely frustrated with me because I dare task the right when I see it needs tasking.

Yes, and sometimes I think they're working for the left, or just really don't care and are in it for the money; so the more outrageous... The more money they get via ratings.

On here? Na, only the ones in the media that "represent" me to the masses as the right winger. I don't put anyone on ignore, I'm open for all opinions and try to read as many posts as possible. Sometimes I even forget my posts lol.

I find talk radio when a Republican in power or duing an election is okay to listen to, but once a Dem gets in I pretty much have to tune it out because there really is no honest examination of things anymore.

It doesn't bother me since I understand the shift, besides I don't need them for forming my opinions, and listen more for entertainment than anything else.

I still do like getting bits and pieces of news copy that isn't getting air time or print space in more traditional mediums.
