Everybody who saw it with me agreed that the special effects were awesome; the divisions among us rose regarding plot. I and a few others felt it was utterly plotless and predictable in a bad way. Some were like "wow, the future," and that seemed to be extent of their argument.

It was ok but a little disappointing.

Terminator: Salvation - B
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen - A-
Bruno - B-
District 9 - A
after District 9 there won't be any movies that would appeal to me until December when James Cameron's Avatar comes out.

I had mixed feelings about it.
I did enjoy it and I think it kicked the crap out of the third one. I liked seeing the 600 series and the origen of the 800's. The cameo was cool too.
I didn't like the dumb premis of a terimnator "throwing someone to death" when they didn't have a weapon. Seems like Cameron's terminator would just crush a windpipe as quickly and as effficiently as possible.
Connor suriving his injuries defied belief and the solution offered was just too neat/convenient. Still though, I look forward to the next one and hope they do at least as well or better.
I wonder if the 3rd will end with sending Reese back in time or if that will culminate in the 2nd one leaving the 3rd to be a final battle in the future.

you seriously give the new transformers movie an A-?
did you see some alternate cut or something they didn't release in theaters? you know, something that made sense?

Agreed.
I got the feeling that the script-writer and director wanted to make a movie on human emotion vs technology, but they were constrained by the Terminator license. SO they slapped inconsistent details about the prior terminator movies onto this one, and kept the original designs of their prior plot.
There were so many things wrong with the movie that I was sorely disappointed with it.
1. The future isn't quite as bleak as presented in the prior terminator films.
2. John Conner wasn't a military leader, much less a propagandist (and a relatively uninspiring one at that).
3. Marcus's supposed physiology made me cringe, and should make anyone with a BS in Biology cringe.
4. The movie battles weren't strategic, insofar as they were unintended by the resistance (guerrilla warfare? nah) and were hardly epic-scaled.
This was a movie that I left feeling that I could write up a better script for it.

I'm SOOOoooo glad they didn't keep the "leaked" original ending that they changed at the last minute!

If they had kept that ending, I think I would have committed seppuku.

yes. I thought TF2 was good, special effects-wise. the story could've been way better, but it passes. TF3 hopefully delivers and balances the special effects, plot, acting, and story and District 9 proved that.
but TF2's story, imo, passes. it also doesn't hurt that I'm just a huge nerd when it comes to movies having to do with extraterrestrials and robots/computers. and Transformers combine these subject matters which are among my favorites. and the concept of an extraterrestrial robotic species/race captivate me and capture my imagination because whether in movies or TV, we've been used to seeing carbon-based, flesh-and-blood life forms and the robots/machines play either as loyal workers or assistants or helpers. so I'm a bit biased with this subject.
so all in all, TF2 gets an A- although there's room for improvement which hopefully the 3rd part delivers.

nah, dont really plan to unless its on tv or something. humans fighting giant machines aint really my cup o tea. I only liked the ones where they were in human form running around killing eachother, those were classics!!! T1&T2 ftw
