I borrowed this from RDW.

If it is so critical that we insure the 47 - 50 million uninsured (that number is an ever-growing joke), how come the full Obamacare bill doesn't kick in until 2013?

Come on, you can figure it out....

What's the REAL priority?

Anyone can walk into an emergency room and get treated, it's the 50 million that have had no end of life counseling yet.

The real priority is incremental increase in control. Collectivist Claptrap as always.

He took 6 months to find a dog, and demands passage of this 'health-care' pogr...oops program in weeks..... Where is his demonstrated priority? Where is his vow to uphold the constitution?

My husband lost his job in March and we lost our insurence at the same time. For our daughters, we inrolled in the CHPs program. For ourselves, we've been putting $50 a month away in case we need to go to the doctor.

Yes, we'd be up a creek without a paddle if one of us gets a critical injury or illness, but even with insurence we would have struggled. Most of our liberal friends are shocked that we aren't suddenly in favor of health care reform. It's called having real, solid, down to the bone beliefs. Government insurence for all is not the answer.

I pray you guys get jobs.

Government insurence for all is not the answer.
No kidding. And for those misguided souls who like the idea of universal health care in the United States, please name one thing the government's good at — besides, of course, screwing things up royally.

Great posts so far, but...nobody's ventured into answering the question of "priority".

Why does this "important" bill not get enacted until 2013 if it is so crucial?

Beth - you have stated most, if not all, that is lacking with a lot of Uhmericans today. Rather than sit on your thumbs and pout about the lemons you've been handed, you have taken a temporary set back and continued to do what was is needed and right for your family. Even if that means giving up some other luxuries, you have set some priorities and are doing what is needed to make ends meet.

On the other hand, we have the whining bitching group who would rather blame someone else and stand with their hand out for the givernment to meet their wants, needs, and desires.

By then Obama may not even be President!! People are getting sick of him. But if the Republicans have a better idea, I haven't heard about it. Although from what I have heard, Colorado seems to have the health care problem pretty well solved. I doubt Obama would even look at it though.

Bingo! We have a winner!!!

Can't you just hear the campaign lingo already. "WE have enacted the most sweeping health care reform in history and now 500 million Uhmericans can rest at night knowing that they have health care....uh...er....um...if you re-elect me"

So in other words, the guy has no real idea, just a ploy for re-election.

Just look at the dates for the implementation of the major bills. Not including the anti-stimulus, Cap and Tax 2010, what happens then? Health care 2013, what happens in 2012 that will make this significant?

Of course it is all about him and re-election of him and the d's. I am not saying there are not other motives for this crap.

But, if these things are so serious, why wait?

Isn't that all any politician is worried about? Isn't that the problem?

I don't want to be a downer, and I feel for the poster who lost their healthcare and wish her and her family all the luck in the world in getting back on their feet, but she put her children in CHP, a government funded health care plan.

Yes, but like Medicare for the elderly, it is an OPTION. Which is way different from what obamacare is designed to be.

I was refering more to the end of your post, where you said "stand with their hand out for the givernment to meet their wants, needs, and desires.".
