Other than the personal preference to root for an underdog, Tiger is a person I do root for.
It would be to his advantage if a rival arose.
He would be even more popular if there was an Arnold Palmer for him to unseat as Nicklaus had.
Personal rivalries like Hogan-Snead promote the game.
