I just saw "Dodge Challenger" and my interest piqued: reviews of this car (i.e. edmunds.com (http://www.edmunds.com/dodge/challenger/2009/review.html)) seem to be very good.
Which model exactly are you getting?

I'd love to get one of these retro models, but, alas, I need 4wd where I live. A car like that would have to have a permanent tow rope mounted on the front of it during the winter where I live.

I'd rather have the old model.

I dunno - they're saying this model is good precisely because it has the feel of the old model.

Yeah, that's the sad thing about some cars - they're just not practical, and given the "poor rearward visibility" and the fact the car is so big... well, I know I my limits as a driver and probably would be looking for something else.

That Dodge is a pretty car, but with all of the gov't interference in auto manufacturing, now may be the last chance to buy something even slightly like a muscle car.
Personally I would go to the only manufacturer that did not take the taxpayer funding.

I hear that: I really am thinking only Nissan or Mazda for my next car, if I get rich.

I was thinking Ford, but I hear ya..:dance::dance:

Some of those new Fords look really ugly. There's this SUV-van like thing that looks like one of those houses that you see transported on the Interstate, with the cheap siding and everything.

It certainly is a good looking car, i was looking at one before I bought my car, Love the new camaro's too. If your gonna buy one though go big or go home! 6.1 hemi, thats the only way that cars gonna get up and go! Its a big pig that needs alot of power to get her movin, and your not gonna get good fuel econ nomatter what engine you buy.

extra $15K, plus gas hog tax, plus more $$$ at the pump all = what I didn't need.
Camaro is a good looking car I agree it is just NOT a good retro look of the originols...IMO

I'm waiting until at least 2012 for a new car. Hopefully it will be the 2012 or later version of one of these two cars:

well I just picked it up yesterday, 8-18-09 and only put 150 miles on it back from the dealer. Yes I went 150 miles away to get it LOL. Only used about a 1/4 tank. But right now it only has about 200 total miles on it so will wait to see how the MPG goes. And I got the V-6 but it still moves plenty quick for this old Sarge.
