Lately, the media has only snippets to report on the war in Afghanistan. Seems there's a call for more troops.....aka...reinforcements. The Taliban is performing their own surge from the looks of things. With additional violence now being seen in Iraq as well, the region seems to be heating up.

If Obama can get past Beer Summitts...and photo ops.....could he perhaps address the issue to the public? We lost over 45 guys just over the weekend. If he wants to talk about health....maybe he should think of the health of our troops out there in harms way right now.

With generals recommending additional troops...is Barry afraid to approach the subject for fear of being a War President? IS his image or healthcare proposals MORE important to the lives of our troops ?????????

Last weekend is one thing..but as of todays date 8-19-09....theres been a tragic bombing in Bagdad with over 25 people killed....and threats over in Afghanistan that if anyonne votes...the Taliban will cut off their fingers. Now....going back to my original post.....WHERE IS OUR PRESIDENT? Yes...he increased troop levels before....the the call for more troops is being echoed in the field. Instead of responding to that call....Obamas waiting for further reports. The Marines are doing the best they can to make the Taliban take cover in northern Afghanistan....but....with the elections coming up.....new recent terror bombings in Bagdad....and the United States focused on healthcare reform....where the lives are on the line.....Obamas brain activity seems to be absent. Delaying in action risks further losses of not only the military elements..but also civillians. Wheres the coalition of other countries assistance that Obama proclaimed he would seek? Perhaps that was just all "flash" in order to gain some popularity....but he's dealing with lives here and it's obvious this administration doesn't want to talk about the wars at this time. Obama repeatedly uses the term..."let me be clear"....ya..thats fine....well....let him be clear on what the hell he's planning on doing to handle this situation. Our deployed troops are waiting for an answer.
