View Full Version : LIBERALS TAKE BACK CONGRESS!! We are in major doo-doo.

JUST IN--

THE LIBERALS HAVE WON AS I HAVE FEARED!! As I have been watching the returns, the momentum as I have predicted are coming true. The Liberals will take back Congress. Our country will soon be in dire danger of losing our freedom. President Bush's Impeachment hearings very sadly will begin sometime in the new year.
Here is also as I feared will soon happen in 2007.
1. The War on Terror will soon end. Our troops will soon come home. Sounds nice, but with a grave price. Al-Qaeda will take over Iraq and re-seize Afghanistan. Bin Laden will soon re-emerge and claim victory. More 9-11's will soon happen in this nation very soon once Bush is unfortunately impeached by the new Liberal congress. Islam will soon be at our door within the next 2 years.
2. The Liberals will tear down the fence and open up our borders, granting unlawful amnesty to all illegals.
3. Our school taxes will shoot through the roof.
4. Our property taxes will go way up.
5. Gay marriage will be legal from border to border.
6. Abortion will grow dramatically.
7. Sean and Rush will lose their radio shows. Maybe not...hopefully.
8. Pelosi will be our next president.

This is a very sad night for America and the nightmare will begin in January of next year. What a way to begin my birthday.:boohoo: :boohoo: :boohoo: :boohoo: :boohoo:

Most of the new Democrats being elected to Congress are quite conservative, as far as Democrats go. A lot of the outgoing Republicans are also rather liberal.

Dont go nuts just yet.

There are two things that havent been talked about.

The presidential veto (and the inability to override as it looks like)

Fillabuster.

Dems did them. So can we. But its going to get ugly...what could of been a nice two years will be all out trench warfare.

And this aint over just yet...Though how the hell the PA senate results are happening the way they are is beyond me.

The thing being i dont think one of those elected conserviateve dems have the spine to stand against clinton pelosi and all the others they will have to. Glenn and Rush are right on that.

This is a glorious day for America. The balance of power is being restored. America works best when neither party is dominant and they must work together. In my life I think the years of 1994 to 2000 were the best years this country has seen with Clinton and the republican congress working together (at least til republicans became preoccupied with *******s).

It's 9:40 CST and as yet the Dems haven't gained control of either the House or Senate. Tennesee hasn't been called yet but Ford is trailing by 5% with 62% reporting... and with 20% reporting in MO Talent has a 10pt lead. It's going down to the wire in VA, but looks like Allen is going to pull out a squeaker. The Dems need three more seats to get a majority and it doesn't look like they're going to pull it out.

Unfortunately they'll probably get the House. But if they do, having Pelosi as speaker may actually help the GOP candidate in 2008.

Liberal wins in Arizona, Arizona, Colorado, Missouri, Montana, Nevada and Ohio can be traced to the idea of raising the state minimum wage to a dollar or more higher than the federal minimum wage AND add it to a cost of living adjustment each year, so the minimum wage rises every year.

So now we see these states are against industry and in favour of union tactics. The unions, with their stolen money and anti-right to work policies in many states, are now deep in control.

I used to vote mostly Republican. This time I split my vote.

The Republicans are con-artists, making lots of promises to get our votes and then doing nothing once they were in power.

In the time in which they controled all three branches of the Federal government...

Did they roll back any of the anti-gun laws passed by Dems over the years? No.

Did they reduce the deficit or permanize the tax cuts? No.

Did the Republicans do anything meaningful to make English the official language, control illegal immigration, defend the flag or traditional marriage or revoke Roe v Wade?

No, no, no, no, and no.

Will I ever vote Republican again as long as it is run by these neocon liars?

Take a guess.

There is now hope I can find a dog to marry. And maybe a terrorist can marry us. After all these are the kinds of things you doomsayers think is going to happen don't you?

I think this is the greatest day America has had since Sept 12, 2001 when we stood up and showed the terrorists we were still standing. The balance of power is back. Pork spending will always exist but now both parties will check and balance each other on it. The economy now has a chance to start growing for normal middle class folks like me again instead of being like the last six years where cost of living has done laps around my wage increases.

The republicrats lost because too many had been acting like RINOs and people who normally supported them gave up since they were sick of voting for people who swapped sides most of the time anyways. I know a lot of people here in Ohio that were tired of DeWine spending more time siding with the democrats then with the republicans, the BS scandals with the corruption of some of the members and then the BS laws they pushed like the Civil Sex Offender Registry making an accusation enough to require someone register as a sex offender.

When you rule like that, then you're going to **** off a lot of your base and you're going to pay for it. They felt too secure in their seats and paid for it.

The minimum wage prop. won by a landslide... not so much with the people--in any race but governor. Kyl is still senetor. Renzi and Shaddeg are still in the House. And the marriage amendment still hasn't been called, it's so close (though it looks to be defeated to me... 49% yes, 51% no.) I think Arizonans are smart enough to realize that when gas is $2.00+ paying $5.00 an hour is kinda ridiculous.

No, it was because we had a choice of liberal republicans that were siding with the democrats instead of standing up for their principals or democrats that at least were honest on who they would side with and frequently more conservative than the republicans they were running against.

I don't agree that the NRA will be abolished, but the Second Amendment is in trouble. It is quite a shame that the 'Rats are looking to snooker the voters, who by and large replaced Republicans with conservative Democrats, by electing a left-wing psychopath as the new Speaker. It would be much better if they elected a more moderate Rep to the Speaker position, like John Dingell, for instance.
